It is a true pro camera inside and out. The body is metal. When it came out, it was Canon's top of the line before they made some higher variations of it like 1n HS and the 1n RS then came the very top of the line and the last Canon Pro film camera made was the Canon EOS 1V with a magnesium body.

It was fun to use and I can readily see how it would have been a real workhorse for someone. Thanks for your comments!

This is one of those cameras that I wish I had. Very cool to see you two cover a newer film camera!

I'm one of those people born after it was discontinued, but I bought a 1N several months ago because my grandfather gave me some of the accessories for it (he no longer had a body). Even with all its heft, it's become my standard travel film camera over smaller cameras such as my Canonet or Contina II. I've been able to take a lot of nice photos since I've bought it, mostly with a 100mm macro lens. I prefer using manual mode as much as possible but having a meter sure does make things a lot easier! I love that I have a lot of the comforts of modern cameras while still being forced to take my time and choose my shots due to being restricted by the number of exposures I have left in my roll. Thank you for the awesome video!

For manual focusing I switched out the focusing screen. Made all the difference!

I just got one of these, which focusing screen are you using for manual focus?

@@ftlbaby I was mistaken. I was thinking of my 5D. My 1N is unaltered.

I love taking pictures but I can only use one hand so I use a small camera. I have a Canon ELPH 190 IS point and shoot camera. With the autofocus, I get beautiful pictures, better then those taken on a smart phone.

Isn't it great when things that are meant to help you, really DO help you? Thanks for watching!
