This is really excellent, please do more of these. I can’t believe your channel is not bigger, because your videos are really informative and you have such a clear way of thinking about the game that is implementable for players learning (match/trade, spare tempo, taking the furthest thing first, etc.) Thanks Leo!

A good thing to include would be like the specific junglers identity at the start because that obviously adds to the decision making and it helps newer players learn more jglers and how they play
@Stoff_Rocks_PacksКүн бұрын
As someone learning jungle this is amazing. Would you still go for bot scuttle (first decision) if enemy jungle was a Xin/Reksai? Also if your laners don't move you're kind of screwed no?

So generally you would say it's good to cover for canon or more waves and not for a single non canon one?
@jesperh94442 күн бұрын
I don't agree with the decision at 14:11. In my opinion you need to catch the mid wave and run straight to grubs knowing shyvana wants to take dragon, our botlane is not pushing, corki will recall after crashing, and zilean will tp and gain tempo on the rebound. That way you can catch 2 mid waves, 3 void grubs, and then you can fullclear top to bot again.
@jesperh94442 күн бұрын
Ok just saw Zilean didn't have tp. Report my toplaner maan. I still think you should have caught the mid wave
@GoldenJoy-b1p2 күн бұрын
Chasing Corki was interesting also for wasting his cs which is why he should have chased him harder and then jump on grubs potentially. That mid wave is juicy thought so i believe you are onto something.
@logasteniker2304Күн бұрын
@@jesperh9444 you would have denied Yasuo the wave of xp and cs, while he is coming back from base. Its a canonwave, so it wouldnt die fast under the tower. If u would play for yourself and wouldnt care that Yasuop starts running it down, then you could make that play.

There was one thing I noticed, and it was that I almost always chose the option that gave me more farm while staying on tempo. After taking bot crab, I thought taking top crab into basing would be good, instead of ganking. Same applied to the Corki into Viktor gank. I wanted to take top crab, full clear, and then base with item. Am I being too passive/farm oriented or do these have merit to stay on tempo? I realize ganking is generally better most of the time since it has a higher reward attached to it, and it can really snowball the game. But at the same time, against a farming jungler like Shyvana wile playing as Diana I'd imagine getting a big xp/cs lead would allow me to match and beat her everywhere on the map, effectively shutting her out of the game. Is this a consistent strategy, or should I look for ganks more aggressively while only resorting to farm when I don't see good opportunities?
@yggvert23013 күн бұрын
I think u answered for yourself with the last question, it’s about finding those opportunities, but first understanding them and how to play them out etc e.g. in the bot situation after first crab how he let Leona show first and more importantly how he knew what Shyvana wanted to do with her downtime…

I posted this for someone else, but you asked basically the same question: A lot of his choices don’t make sense, especially for low elo players, who I assume he’s trying to help. When I played actively, I climbed from Bronze to Emerald with an 80% win rate in 100 games, playing in high Diamond/Masters due to MMR inflation, simply by focusing on discipline and avoiding greed. Here’s my advice: Never make plays assuming the enemy will make a mistake. Only act based on what you can see on the map. Low elo games are chaotic, and his approach relies too much on enemies misplaying. For example: What if Shyvana ran to top scuttle after being spotted? What if she reset instead? What if Ashe and Lulu played safe because the wave was pushing to them? The play he suggested assumes Shyvana would gank bot, but this isn’t consistent or reliable. Instead, a better option would be: Ping your bot lane to be careful of a potential Shyvana gank. Go top, take your scuttle, then invade and place a deep ward. As for the argument about higher elos: Shyvana shouldn’t gank bot there-that’s a low elo decision. But even in low elo, her behavior isn’t guaranteed, making this strategy inconsistent. This is not even focusing on the fact that the enemy bot lane came back to lane with an item advantage because of the 2 earlier kills. Meaning that if they didn't play that like apes, they win the fight 99 out 100 times.

If the crabs you are talking are the first ones you need to keep in mind that they give you 80% reduced experience. So only take them if its free/nothing else to farm or choose other options, ganking can be more favourable in gold/xp if it's garanteed, invading is your second option and basing is your third option, this one is fine if you are focusing your camp cycling to get level 6 asap.

So I learned something, My thought process is very strong but I ended up at the wrong conclusion. I believe it's easier to have an incorrect conclusion but a good thought process then arriving to a good conclusion but a bad thought process.

No good shyvana ganks lanes pre 6 unless it's 90% chance of a kill.
@simbaonsteroids88363 күн бұрын
So the decision making is helpful. And I get that making correct decisions will help long term. But what about when you’re at an elo where it’s not necessarily likely that shyvana will gank bot when she should. Am I supposed to coin flip that she makes the correct decision and take going to top crab and cover bot gank? Or do I take the consistency and double crab her setting up the quick 6 on drag/grub
