This sight reading was a load for me, but it's a good thing I got exposed to these types of rhythms. They look complicated but it's a bit easier once you slow down and count 😂 Hope this helps many more!

Made it to 4 with no struggle than 5 to 7 struggled and 8-10 is no zone for me. I know my main struggle is any variation of eight notes and 16th notes. Hopefully I get better before the start of the next school year cuz it’s my first time in marching season

Good job. Easy things to read are harder to play in exact time and everyone can hear it. Harder things to read are easier to play because small errors in timing are barely noticeable. One exercise provides the full gamut and everything in between. Bottom line is you won’t be good until all errors in timing are reduced to nano seconds. Sloppy is good for chili cheese burgers but very bad for ensemble music.

That's easy. The tenth requires a few seconds before going into it, like you have in any exam. What you need is being able to play with any score, that's what you get most of the time. "I didn't write you a part, here is the theme/piano". Drummers should seriously learn music.

En la universidad donde estudié, en el ramo de lectoescritura, gran parte del primer semestre se lo dedicaban a dictados rítmicos como los del video, e iban de lo más fácil a lo más difícil. Ya en tercero (que es último año que tienes ese ramo) te atascaban hasta las orejas con armonía funcional (conducción de voces, armonización, enlaces armónicos, etc)
