Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful talent on KZbin. I am trying to pick back up on my art skills from long ago. Watercolor was not my strong suit, but you have me so inspired that I am giving it a go! I also picked up a copy of "Everyday Watercolor" today...can't wait until I get my hands on it. Thanks again!

It takes some degree of self-honesty to get the full value of this lesson, but it's worth it. Great presentation, supportive and non-judgmental tone. This is a great self-assessment approach for any painter!

This is such an awesome project, because now people have actionable steps for improving When I was a personal trainer I used to break each move into “beginners” “intermediate” and “advanced” - that way clients had the motivation to master each level and then work towards the next level 🎖

Estoy encantada de haberla conocido, creo que es el mejor tutorial de acuarelas que he visto, llevo cerca de 4 años en clases generales de pintura pero la acuarela es la que más me atrae y me encanta. Mil gracias por su valioso tiempo.

I'm not at the advanced stage, more intermediate. But I am having a hard time understanding where the whites are as painted, and until I understand that, I can't move forward. I understand the light value at the highlight where light catches the petal edges. But the whites in the advanced sample seem to have whites where I would see shadows. I'm stuck!

Hi! I enjoyed your video. You have a beautiful gift! I really like your palette. Is it porcelain or plastic? If it's porcelain would you mind telling me where you bought it? If it's plastic I can't use it - because I paint on silk with dyes and they stain and don't 'play well' with plastics. I'd like to give you a small correction, but only to help, if you don't mind. Quinacrodone is pronounced k•win•ack•crow•doan (the doan rhymes with own, yet starting with a 'd' but is NOT down). A quick way we say it is kwin and then the color-->Quin Magenta or Quin Gold, etc. I hope this helped and it did not offend you. God Bless 😃

Questions - My big challenge is that my studio is in my basement and I’m dependent on artificial light. I get to following videos and I can’t distinguish tones as readily as I can see them in the video. I should me and my eyeballs are 70 years old. Jenna Questions- what kind of lighting do you have in your studio? Do you use natural white or bright white paper? John Question - In this video there are three main areas of white; the table, the paper and to some extant the pallet. What kind of lighting do you use for recording videos. Do you use a filter/diffuser? Thanks
@JennaRaineyChannel2 жыл бұрын
Hi David! The most important thing is that you're just doing art and enjoying your process. Lighting, however, is also very important. When I paint, I am always looking for natural light. It's just the best. When we film, John has professional lighting that is a whiter/natural tint of light (but they are very bright, I wouldn't paint with them on if we weren't filming), and yes we have diffusers on the lights. The lights are in my amazon shop if you want to see what we're using, but they are on the pricey side and if you aren't looking to film your artwork, you probably don't need these... www.amazon.com/shop/jennamrainey/list/XA6NMQC0NL1L

It’s actually pronounced “qwin-ack-ra-done”. The “done” part rhymes with “tone”, not “Tony”.
