It's just me, my Honda CRF 300L, and the open road! In Episode 1 of my solo journey from Romania to Turkey, I start with a twist - a wrong turn to fuel up, getting caught in a photo shoot, exploring Edirne's alleys, mingling with the locals, and landing in the midst of a political rally.
From encountering fellow riders to hopping on a night ride in the rain, this trip's already brimming with tales.

Salutare, chestie funny, in Georgia chiar e cultura asta catre calatori - cum ar veni ca un drumet care iti trece pragul e trimisul Domnului si e de datoria ta sa il gazduiesti peste noapte daca iti cere. Mi-e dor de Georgia :)

Tac hotel is a biker friendly and very good hotel. My friend Yusa is also a very sincere person. By the way, it was a very nice video. I look forward to seeing you again in Edirne

Salutare, am folosit osmand pe tet, apare in cateva episoade. Ce nu imi place totusi la el e interfata aia de anii 90. Totusi, daca te obisnuiesti nitel e cam cea mai complexa aplicatie de navigare.

It's nice to see you again! I'm thinking of trading in my cb500x for the crf300l but I'm not sure about its long distance travel capabilities. Hopefully you can help. How do you like the CRF300L up till now? Do you think it's suitable enough for long distance adv trips with luggage, and are there any essential upgrades to be done first?

If you have the option get a Rally version, the fairing is different and you get a windscreen which in a touring situation helps alot. The tank is bigger which is also a nice addition. The CRF was not designed for long distance travel, not saying you cannot do it (like I did in the Turkey trip) but it is not confortable. If on the other hand hard core offroad is your goal the suspension is the first thing you would need to consoder changing. It is a very nice platform, a modern bike, with ABS, stellar reliability, relatively cheap considering the niche it is in - not comparing it to a 690/701 in terms of price, nor to a 450 in terms of maintenance. However, it does not excel at anything but with some upgrades it can really be a good companion for long (and remote) distance travels. For my needs and budget at the moment this bike is aan excellent choice or compromise, depends how you want to look at it :D To sum this long post up: the essential upgrades would depend on what you want to do with it. Almost all scenarios would involve the suspension (offroad, touring with luggage or a mix of the 2), the handlebars would need to go, handguards are nice (especially in colder weather / rain / offroad), some handlebar risers can get into the mix. Also, depending on your preference, some people complain about the seat. It is not the most confortable ever, but for me it is ok, ridden 600+ kms / day without any drama. Wasn't confortable by any means but it was doable.
