You should look up Stu Block. He's the lead singer for Iced Earth and he can do anything from death metal growls to Rob Halford screams. But chuck is the absolute best for thrash except for maybe Hetfield(in his early days.) MAYBE.

Chuck Billy is amazing, I love his low growl. His high pitched screams were pretty lame, glad he doesn't do them any more. Let's hear it for Eric Peterson, he doesn't get anywhere near the credit he deserves. Brilliant rhythm guitarist.

I don't really think it would be much different then the way the rest of Metallica has gone, but you never know. What I can say for sure, is he would have evolved as a bass guitar player, and he would still be immortalized. And Jason was a fucking phenomenal bass player as well, much respect for him. Rob Trujillo is a good guitarist too. He played with Ozzy that was his best gig. He should leave Metallica they are stale and old now.
