My Revive has worked flawlessly for 2 years, even in below freezing temps, through sloppy mud, etc... I got another for my new bike just yesterday! It's more expensive vs some new options but reliability is most important to me. Thanks @BikeYoke Germany!

Great video. I'm using the Revive 30.9mm 160mm one and it's definitely the best one I've ever tried. My new bike is coming equipped with a 185mm Revive Max.

I have the 30.9 185mm Divine dropper post. 3:08 I recommend to install the cable reverse to how it's shown here, thus eliminating the issue if clamping barrel getting coming off, I of course used Loctite 243, but I haven't tried stronger, but it seems like the rapid temp changes are too extreme for this solution, at least they are one of the reasons I think. I Installed it the 'correct' way first after 3 rides in the sub zero winter rides it came it was loose. so if you don't want to check the barrel every time you go out for a ride, do what I recommend, but really the barrel makes no sense. other than that I don't have any complaints so far, and my experience has been the same as yours otherwise, So I can recommend it too. but the remote is too slippery, I installed antislip/griptape on it, problem solved, it's Tesa the kind meant for stairs.
@bikeyokegermany35534 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by "reverse" You install it with the cable head in the actuator at the bottom of the post? I strictly do not recommend doing that. The cable barrel does not come off, if you tighten it properly. There is no need for Loctite. My cable barrel are installed and don´t come off until I replace the cable. Never had a single issue wit a loose or lost cable barrel.

@@bikeyokegermany3553 I seem to have tightened it properly, but I happen, to me this seems like a bad idea, why don't you reccomend doing it my way? Will it damage something? Sofar it worked flawlessly. I don't trust it the correct way. Other than that great product.
@mtbboy19934 жыл бұрын
@@bikeyokegermany3553 the barrel also is not a convient way of doing it. Installing it in reverse is easy, and won't have this issue. Mabye it's just this barrel or/and bolts that are faulty, I don't know, but what I know this is not my fault, and if this is like this on all barrels it makes the post usless if cable installed this way, so I had to solve it in a way that works for me. I don't see any big problem with it sofar, no notices or rubbing sound, or damaged cable, I will take a look at it later. But it works great how it is now.

@@bikeyokegermany3553 I made sur eit was secure but the 4emote did not did not do the job, I checked wire tension i tightened it, but stil mechanism was not activated, I took a look and wire Wass off the barrel and barrel was in seat tube, so I went home and solved the problem my way, I suspected this was an issue I could have, before I installed it for the first time the correct way, but my way worked flawlessly. It's the only way that makes sense to me.

Hey Johan - good stuff! Does this auto-reset do away with the issue their other dropper has with storing the bike vertically, causing a need for frequent bleeds?
@vitalmtb4 жыл бұрын
It seems less sensitive to that, yes. They also added a membrane to the old post (the Revive) that is supposed to help with that issue as well.

@@TheBabylonJohn I never really had any issues with my Revive max over 2 years without service and frequent vertical storage. For how much better the Bikeyoke droppers are, I would not hesitate even if I had to reset the post everyday. any other dropper would require way more rebuilds in that time.

I have this post and it is simply too slow for my riding and trails. Buyer beware. Compare brand/model post speeds and your trail needs before buying. The Revive is significantly faster and smoother.

379 bucks for a piece of equipment thats standard issue on every 60$ office chair. Those companies are nothing short of disgusting.
@bikeyokegermany35534 жыл бұрын
@ Tobias Stamenkovic: With all due respect, you have no idea about what you are talking. I am really sick of hearing this comparison over and over again. Aside form others, office chairs have TWO main and very important differences: 1. They DO NOT lock out. They have suspension! 2. They are allowed to rotate. Those TWO are key points, that make the design of droppers post so difficult. I am not going to argue with you here, I just want to point out, how incredibly ingnorant and polemic your comment is. Not sorry!

Supply and demand. How many office chairs are sold every year around the world and how many dropper posts? Plus, how many office chairs have to hold up to the conditions and punishment of a mountain bike. I do think it's a lot of dough for a seat post, though. My whole bike was only $1,300 and I've put about another $600 into it, so with another $400, the seat post becomes almost 20% of the cost of my bike.

@@tristanwwsd Because you will end up with the absolute mess, that is the Specialized Command post. It has no damping, it gradually destroys itself on every extension and it only has 2 positions, extended and retracted (also it's the dropper, your nuts are most afraid of)
