I watched spare parts and I was pleased to hear the news of what he's accomplished. I'm proud to call this guy a fellow soldier, veteran, and a us citizen. I hope this guy applies for ocs! I think he would make a great officer.

Sgt. Vazquez, you are a hero and the pride of all immigrants who come to the US with the only intent of becoming a better provider for ourselves and our family and to our fellow citizens. I am a naturalized US citizen born in Mexico. Your story is like that of many and it should be heard by all who despise undocumented immigrants. I salute you ! By coincidence, I found this video, while I am reading the book Spare Parts by Joshua Davis, the basis for the movie version of the same name. It is really a strange fortuity that I am reading as Maj. Glenn Goins, Vietnam veteran, welcomed you into his ROTC cadre of cadets. You remind me of Specialist Edgar Hernandez, who was taken hostage during the Operation Iraqi Freedom War in 2003, I met the young man along with his wife and her father.

I'm in the exact same situation as Sergeant Oscar Vazquez once was. I am not as talented as Sergeant Oscar Vazquez, but I would serve and dedicate my youth and life for this country in a heart beat. Glad he got to reunite with his family and living a good life.

IMMIGRANTS ARE GOOD OR BAD ? For USA They are not good ppl why ? I must ask those ppl who don't want immigration reform ? They break law to have a better life for the family and them self. Not for creating crimes .. Don't forget the one who are against this were these one day.. So be positive and have a right approach for all, not every one is Native American , this is country of immigrants and we ppl have helped for years to build this country by creating jobs for Many Americans and immigrants also .. We create business and many Americans and these immigrants get job and take care of their families .. Transport/medical/construction/grocery/ fuel stations and Many other field are open by immigrants and Americans .. To serve better life for them and Many Americans and immigrants .. So look for the positive what they did for the nation . Don't be so hated . Offer love and show respect for what immigrants do :)
