You also COMPLETELY missed the fact that these units have different battery chemistry. LiFePo4 vs. Li-Ion. 500 charge cycles for Li ion vs 3000+ for LiFePo4

Was explaining battery chemistry the purpose of this video? Or was it about the cost of the $250 range of batteries?
@fiftythirdthАй бұрын
@@slimhim It might not have been the point completely, but the video is about how much bang are you getting for your buck with these cheap stations. Its more cost efficient to buy a battery that lasts much longer and its a viable question for anyone watching this video to ask.

To me it is important to know if it is LiFePo4 as it is superior to Li-on.

I think Pecrons E600 LFP is a great deal for the money. It list on their website for 329. If you sign up for their email it will go down to 312. This thing takes in 400 watts of solar. Has a 1200 watt inverter has 612 wh lifpo4. It has the wireless charger for your phone. I have rum my micro at 1400 watts and yes it will run it. The solar input takes a minute or 2 to recognize but it works really well. If you want something light weight with some juice this is a great choice. On a good solar day my 400 watt q cell has this charged in no time. Solar input is 12v-95v max 400 watts.

Nice! Were these the same battery type? I think charging time is equally important when deciding what station to choose, along with fancy features.

Cheaper ones tend to be normal Li-Ion, like in mobile phones. I bought a couple of 500wh / 500w fake "Jackeries" for work-related reasons. I no longer have those jobs, so have them at home, running their 800 cycle life into the ground,,but I dare not charge them unsupervised! I let solar panels charge up my decent branded stations, then plug the cheap ones into those.

There small power station are a glorify power bank. Just good for charging your phones or tablets. And maybe a laptop if u are lucky. running small usb fan or lite. A heavy phone use or tablets use would get the most use out of these. At the office or camping. If really need to run things u need i high power one at 1000 watts plus . with solor panels and gas power generator

For the charge and discharge tests (@12:05 for example), the BMS (which runs the display) in almost all units needs to sync up/learn the battery. A few charge/discharge cycles in these units would make the displays much more accurate - meaning they wouldn't get to 99% and sit there for 30-45 min. 99% would actually mean almost full. Try that next time.

Hi, I own an Anker 535 and have lost the AC charger for it. I just bought a C1000 and want to give the 535 to a buddy, but he wouldn't be able to use it without the charger. Would you guys sell me the Anker charger? (I've emailed Anker several times to buy one and have gotten nowhere) Thanks!

I noticed that 99% lag on my Anker solix 522 also. The first charge, sat on %99 for about 30 minutes. It doesn't do that anymore. My Anker solix is the heart of my survival. It's indestructible. I have beat the crap out this thing. Other power generators have fast charging with 2 input options. But if you can't fast charger, it can take 4-6 hours. The solix is a guarantee 3. Type C to c cable. Car outlet. Wall ac. My 50w solar takes 3. Anker is not a joke. . 40w heating pad for my sleeping bag, is the biggest thing I've use in it. 7 hours wall plug 🔌

Before you go Anker, check the Terms of Service. Per section 17, any disputes are "governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China". If a dispute arises, it will be done "in accordance with the rules of the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court". "The language of the arbitration shall be Chinese." and "The place of arbitration shall be Shenzhen, China." In section 18. They can update the ToS at any time and the ToS "shall be deemed effective upon the sending by us of an email". They can put whatever [insert unimaginable terms here] they want and you have preemptively agreed to them.

The fact you cited over 100% efficiency should tell you there's something amiss, unless they defy the laws of physics. Either it has a larger battery than quoted, or it was drawing less than you think. In reality, you'll never get close to 100% efficient.

Well, I was kind of right... For some odd reason, DIY / "Outdoor" shops in Japan have a small-to-no selection of sogens (and even the mighty Yodobashi Camera sells nothing with an MC4 connector on it). A giant branch of Conan near me sells ONLY the "Takki" (which sounds like a British term for "cheap crap"), under a different name and with a 10w glass panel, for some absurd price like ¥40,000, as an "earthquake emergency home backup". Yeah good luck... The other fail one comes in several different form factors, under all sorts of names. I have two that I got on sale for dirt cheap. My ones have a tiny, feeble "lantern" light, as well as the main light (which probably lasts forever on those 110ish wh batteries). Also two USBs that deliver 10w, a "QC3.0 18w" USB port that delivers 10w, and a USB-C port that doesn't work. Great. I also got three (they were really cheap!) of another one with rounded ends, 222wh batteries and a 200w inverter. One quirk of both is that the DC barrel plugs are always on, if you turn "DC", or even the entire unit, off, they're still live! They're also unregulated, so the voltage drops and it took 50mins to boil about 400ml of water in a 12v kettle.

Efficiency tests on these things is kind of misleading. They are only accurate if the stated capacity is correct. There's no such thing at 107% efficient. It just means the battery capacity is higher than the stated capacity.
