Nice plane and flying. Engine and prop? Wouldn't a CF prop be more efficient?

I’d love to see the paperwork for celebrity testing these car-priced birds “the pilot and his representatives take no responsibility for damage caused through execution of prescribed standard manoeuvres however in the event of pilot error will cover up to 50% of the replacement costs if said crash results in total loss and loss of or negative impacts on the manufacturer publicity” “furthermore it should be noted that Mr Pickering does not crash hence any loss or damage can be inferred as being the result of a technical or mechanical failure”
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC
@MartinPickering-PickeringRC Жыл бұрын
I would love to see that! Its more of a gentleman's agreement, we both know what the worst case scenario is... sadly the "I don't crash" part is not accurate, I have a few videos here on the channel! If you don't crash, you don't fly!

hey martin - great channel ! - i have to make a decision between the sebart sbach 50e, katana 50e and edge 540 50e. i think they all fly great, so maybe i go with the best looks. please give me some advice - thx from germany with love.

You need to airfoil the tail surfaces to make the plane less tail washy which will also help to reduce the seen adverse yaw created via aileron inputs. Looks Great though! If the tail surfaces are airfoiled (looked like not) then thicken them up a-bit. Do not use differential aileron throws because when inverted or under negative G loads it's exactly wrong. I've found that the incidence of the wings relative to one another should be 1/8 of a degree toe in to one another or that is a very small amount (only a barely measurable "some".) This is being picky but your wing struts should also be very slightly toe in to one another so that they are a stabilizing force rather than the druthers.

Putting an airfoil on the tail will do nothing for adverse yaw. Do you know what adverse yaw is? Putting quote unquote toe in on the interplane struts??? The biplanes are draggy enough, no need to do that and hinder flight performance. I’m sure you mean well.
@robertshaver4432
@robertshaver4432 Жыл бұрын
@@NateG3678I'm quite aware of what Adverse yaw is. Flat plate tails create a washy effect for the tail surfaces, it simply creates a less ridged stability with basically an induced slop in stability. A slight toe in for the struts won't create much if any extra drag but produces stability just as a slight toe in for the top and bottom wings creates extra stability and yes there are other reasons for toe in when considering bi-plane wings. Flat plate tail surfaces are a sin for a large model and it will create less stability in every axis. And speaking that bi-planes are draggy enough, so then why add drag with flat plate tail surfaces? I'm sure you meant well too!
