Wonderful blend of disciplines here with algorithms and web development; well done Thaui! The UI and the website overall looks good. Indeed sometimes finding the exact solution is impractical/inconvenient due to the time/resource costs, so an approximate algorithm that is more time and resource-efficient would have to do. I suppose it would be a good approximation if arrival times are frequent enough; perhaps it would be interesting to consider how good of an approximation it is. Thanks for the showcase, Jonathan!

Actually the algorithm is a non optimised Shortest Path algorithm, but it is run client side and thing are precalculated and preallocated to already have node and segments with scoring. So the algorithm don't need to make an approximate path, but the actual shortest based on the scoring. The lacking point for now is the score source, as the algorithm don't have trains timetable.

@@ypetremann ah I see so you already have the scores pre-calculated and it just runs a standard shortest-path algorithm, but those scores are approximate?

@@TamagoRails In a sense they are : - for minimal route, it's not an approximation because what only matter is that you have the minimum number of trains - for minimal distance, scores are based on the distance between platform positions, it can't check that a train does a detour. - for minimal delay, score as based on the durations the mod gave us and for waiting time for not it's always 1m30s

Hello Jonathan 😊 | I have a Suggestions for some new train for your mod I My Suggestions is add paris métro train addon. So in the Paris metro you have several variants of trains like: The MI79, MI84, Z50000, MF77, MF01, MF67, This is the Iron category, And for the Tire category you have: The MP89, MP05, MP59, MP14 And the MP59, I would like you to add them to your mod and even for the pneumatic trains an addition of tire rail.

Hello Jonathan Ho! I really like your MTR mod. It's really a good and no. 1 transport mod. But I wanted to give you a suggestion, I hope you take it seriously. I play single player normally, and use this mod in single player only. But I wanted a feature where mobs like villagers could also travel in the train. For now they just fall down from the train entity. But I want them to be standing and even traveling in the trains. I hope you will add this feature. BTW really nice tool for the mod. 👍👍👍👌

I'm having trouble with the 4.0.0 update, since i just installed it on my 3.0 world and none of the dashboards are working. Does someone have a fix?

MTR explorer has no support for 4.0.0 since data has changed a lot and is incomplete for the route algorithm.

@@dirt2go102 In fact it don't work with local worlds because of browser security, for online world, it try to use a proxy.
