Used to do a monthly mystery shirt box. Got a load of weird teams. Got a lot of Macron. Eventually found out that all shirts were £20 on CFS compared to the £34.99 I was paying and realised I was getting ripped off.

Honestly, I think out of these the result is inconclusive at least for the way you did it. That's 4 decent shirts, but even the best shirt (the Milan shirt) has the wrong print style on the back which knocks it down (especially if you're sending to someone who has a following could notice). It wasn't a ridiculous difference between the two. The last two I'd say are similar levels. I think it would be completely different if the company came to you for advertisement instead of this way around.

The Milan one was initially for sale on my site at £39.99 due to the wrong print. I always look for a shirt that I would be happy to get for £34.99 to put in the vintage mystery boxes.

Honestly, this was an interesting experiment. The shirts received (aside from the first ones... DANG CROOK) were great. And to answer that, honestly I would not be mad at all if I got the Spain 04 kit in a mystery box (then again I don't have a kit to my name lmao).

To be fair I would take the Spain 04 over the AC Milan shirt, however, the AC Milan is a bit better look-wise. I would definitely say that both are good pulls. The Germany shirt is pretty sick and the Palermo one looks better. All of the 4 kits are very good in my opinion tho, some neat pulls.

I've found reaching out to others in the collecting community to buy a shirt for me based on a set of criteria is far more exciting - you know they will spend the money in a good way and generally means you can retain a little bit of control over what you get. It's also fun for them!

I think the two sellers (that isn’t a crook) are definitely doing a very good job, normally you’d get some lower league shirt from CFS for so cheap but they’ve done quite well. I think I’d personally buy one box just for the sake of it (from someone that isn’t a fraud), but it’s not something I’d be looking to make money on, nor get a specific shirt. Fantastic video once again, cannot wait to see what’s next in store 🙌

Honestly considering 2004 might have been the first year that Spain was out of the banter era a bit (they were in the same group as Greece and Portugal who ended up being the final and in 2006 Spain thrashed their group and got pretty damn unfortunate to have to play against France, of course 2002 Spain was also really unlucky) I think the Spain kit is actually really cool

For sneaker mystery boxes the typical thing now is if they send you 10 pairs of sneakers, there will be 1 really good pair you might want, but can be hard to sell be cause the expensive stuff has fewer buyers and 9 pairs of crap that technically put the value over what you paid, but almost nobody will want to buy. So the listed value might be fine on paper but it's just a way for them to get rid of stuff they couldn't sell otherwise.

I don’t think it is a scam. Obviously the business has to make money, so the average value of the shirts will be lower than the amount you’re paying, but isn’t that quite obvious? Otherwise they would be losing money. However I don’t think that it’s just cheap tat in every box. I started a quarterly subscription to a mystery box about 6 months ago and I’ve received 2 shirts. The first one was shite; the badge was plastic and not embroidered, which is an instant sign of a cheap shirt, and I couldn’t actually find a season where this team had played in this shirt (they were only founded less than a decade ago so it was easy to look through each season) so I think it must have been a shirt used by the academy or something. I wasn’t best pleased but I thought I’d wait for the next one and if it was just as rubbish then I’d cancel my subscription. The next one that came wasn’t anything beautiful but it was a good quality national team shirt and I was happy with it. It also still had its tag on which read £64.99, and when I checked online it was still only available for £45. Bear in mind that that’s saved me £15 if I were to buy it directly since the subscription costs £30. Although I would be surprised if that makes up for the money lost on the first shirt. Over time I will probably lose money, but it’s more fun than just buying random shirts. The mystery is worth it in my opinion, and if you’re trying to grow your shirt collection, it’s a good way of diversifying your shirts as it’s free from your own bias and is going to be more random. Maybe these company’s have your information on a spreadsheet and they send out just enough good shirts to keep you subscribing whilst they offload all the cheap shite for over the odds. In which case, fair enough, I don’t plan on selling my football shirts I just want to collect them. They aren’t ‘an investment’ to me.

I've ordered a couple from the company you opened second, the 1st was Ajax 1995 and the second was AC Milan 1997 - I was happy with both. The friend who recommended them has bought about 10 over the last 2 years and has had some weird and wonderful ones, last year was a FC Saarbrucken from German Liga 3. Are they worth it in the long run not really, I was lucky in that the 2 I got I didn't really pay more than what you could get them for anyway.

Another tip on figuring out fake adidas shirts is for anything supposed to be new or recent. The barcode label won't be attached with plastic it will have a twine type rope as part of they're recycling and environmental campaign.

@AwayDays My first mystery boxes arrived today and both shirts were so fake they didn't even try to hide it lol! They literally sent me a standard training shirt that you can order from Hummel's website, on which they put the logo of UD Las Palmas FC. Without any sponsor or anything else on the shirt, and no official club tags in there. Same with a plane orange Umbru shirt with a logo of Real Murcia, no sponsor on the shirt or anything.
