I would like to see you try a different meter next... Thanks for caring. Your work and effort are second to none.

That's good information Mario. Goes to show that the pump is still producing the same or similar flow rate even with the older volute design.
@radikult-custom6 жыл бұрын
dandel351 yeah that was one of the things I was concerned. If the volute is to big then I won’t build enough pressure and could loose flow after adding to many things in the loop. But to “tight of a volute” makes some noise with some un balanced impellers at full speed
@dandel3516 жыл бұрын
Maybe you could suggest to your future customers to run a clearance check before filling the loop. I think if you used say 4 bolts on the clamp just wound in gently and use a small ball of play dough to check there is at least a 1mm gap between the impeller and the volute body perhaps? I wet the bearing of my D5 pump and briefly (5secs) powered it on before filling the loop.

where do you source your acrylic? Trying to find a place to buy from that's not insanely expensive
@radikult-custom6 жыл бұрын
Kaleb Israel I guy my acrylic from McMaster Carr. But they aren’t cheap by no means but I can get what I need fast
@KalebQi6 жыл бұрын
@@radikult-custom okay I was hoping you had a different option that was cheaper. I too look to McMaster-Carr for a lot of metric hardware and random springs, etc. Raw material seems to be cheaper on Amazon in certain sizes but it takes a lot digging to find it. I guess I'll just have to put my big boy pants on and pay the premium
@radikult-custom6 жыл бұрын
Kaleb Israel I’m not sure where you live but maybe you have a local place that sells raw materials. . I have not try amazon. I did try eBay but it should be the same. A lot of searching for what you need
@KalebQi6 жыл бұрын
@@radikult-custom yeah I can get some scrap aluminum locally (very small selection and it's $4.50 / lbs) but I don't have any local place that sells plastic at all. Closest place is hours ago. I might just use McMaster-Carr just so I don't have to search forever to get it slightly cheaper

Brad B make sure that the cable is connected correctly as Positive, negative signal. Sometimes the 12v is on the wrong side and that’s why it could blink
@Critters6 жыл бұрын
What were the changes you made?
@KalebQi6 жыл бұрын
Critters made the cutout for the D5 slightly larger because a customer had a D5 that was ever so slightly larger than all the ones Mario has taken his measurements off of. The customers pump was making a noise because it was hitting the cutout walls in the reservoir so he made the new reservoirs with a larger cutout. No noise now and no noticeable decrease in flow
@radikult-custom6 жыл бұрын
Kaleb Israel you are correct. I made the area around the impeller a little larger. Just because I know there could be some impellers that at high speed aren’t well balanced and could hit the surrounding area
@Nemesis1ism5 жыл бұрын

AnteICash I don’t think you can. I don’t see any “button” for adjusting anything.
@colinjava84474 жыл бұрын
It can't be that accurate then if it doesn't know the tube size. Maybe it's based on average inner diameter. But it doesn't need to be accurate as long as the results it gives are consistent with each other, so when the flow is twice as fast, the number shown should be twice as much. If that were the case it would still be perfectly usable for comparing speeds after making changes to loop or changes to pump speed.
