You still have to supply your own vacuum cleaner with the $700 one.

What is the second red machine you placed on the table?
@IamNickDClements5 ай бұрын
Oh, a fume extractor. Just a fancy fan really. Usually connected to a big flexible tube to be more effective. I got it at Harbor Freight. CENTRAL MACHINERY 8 in. Portable Ventilator - Item 59156

Those auto tuners, though...how does it know? 🤔

It uses the mic on your phone, (or an internal mic on the newer model) and each time you pluck the string, it compares the frequency of what the string should be against what it is.

I had returned that little kid's toy. It is unusable due to the lack of temperature control. The performance was really bad for materials other than PETG. And since PETG is on the expensive side compared to PVC or HIPS, I'd rather build one instead of wasting my time and material on this thing.
@IamNickDClements4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I can see that, its use-case is pretty limited. I still find it a pretty good value being under $100. Especially if it's someone's first foray into vacuum forming. Pretty low-risk way to get your feet wet, find out if it's something that could be useful to you. And from there you can take your next steps, whether it be to build your own system, or drop some serious money on a professional grade vacuum former.

I can't take anyone seriously who wears headphones to protect themselves from a normal small shopvac

Gotta' say, that's a pretty weird requirement that you only respect people who don't care about their hearing. I like being able to hear, and I like being able to hear well. I can still hear 17,000 Hz. On average people my age are lucky to hear over 15,000 Hz. And regardless of all that, I just don't like loud noises. I have ear defenders scattered all over my house, so there is always a pair nearby. I wear them when I vacuum, when I use a drill, even when I use a blender. I am careless when it comes to other areas of PPE, I often don't protect my eyes with safety glasses, or my lungs with a mask, does that earn me any respect?

@@IamNickDClements Mad respect! Hearing is something we all take way too much for granted. I developed tinitus a few years back and I am pretty sure it was because I was listening to my 80's music cassettes in my little Pinto way too loud LOL You deserve a sub for that comment, btw. Loved your video, just work on your other PPE, ok?
@IamNickDClements2 ай бұрын
@@notthegrandma5733Awe, thanks. Yeah, I have tinnitus too, thankfully it's really only noticeable when I'm in complete silence. Yes, I shall indeed continue to work on my other areas of PPE. 😊
