Finding underglazes that are just right has been a struggle 🥲, but we’re so glad we finally got to branch out and try different brands! Chrysanthos is definitely on our list to try next, especially since we've seen so many amazing ceramic artists use them!

Always use a zinc free clear glaze to prevent problems with interactions of the glazes. Also be sure to use the same amount of layers as well as the same brush to apply them when doing tests to get a true idea of what you have. A fan brush that is fluffy will always give you best results with glazes!!! The way you applied the glazes by running it over the tile over and over while it was dry is why you got the blotches. Try again using a fan brush and you will be shocked at how nice they all are. ❤❤❤

With Mayco, idk if you did, but you should mix up the glaze every now and then before use. Three coats with dry time in between makes for an opaque colour. But their other series of glazes are one coat, not these ones. Fun vid, thanks for sharing!

Thank you for watching 💕 We did do three coats with the Mayco and the less pigmented Amaco glazes but we didn’t let them fully dry in between. We did try the Mayco glazes on smaller areas of our pieces and they came out much more opaque. Thank you for the tip!
