Unfortunately, pretty much the only place to obtain a Succubus or Incubus (ones male the other female) is from The Descent Lockbox, within the Fiendish Charmer Pack. neverwinter.fandom.com/wiki/Fiendish_Charmer_Pack or ofc from other players, on the AH

I knew it. I told u man, if u test against mobs the results are different. They live longer or less, they do more or less depending on the circunstance and single or aoe, etc. I talked about the pseudo, but the ideia is exactly that. Different results in different circunstances. If a companion can live longer a situation, then he potencialy can do more damage then other one (that looks stronger outside the real combat). Good work as always. Those kind of tests are way better to let us understand the investment, etc. Ty!

It’s not only about damage. The one that causes slow… keeps the effect all time on mobs and is a heavy slow… that helps a lot surviving in hc. I ran solo +10 heroics without potion.

Succubus/incubus have always been good for the AOE debuff. But with basically all their damage coming from deadly kiss, my concern is that the devs will look at the damage and find the same issue as the CIW/Xuna, that they do single target magnitude damage as an AoE attack. If that is the case, we would see a nerf incoming for sure, but i run mostly for the debuff anyways. Thanks for testing in dungeon scenario!

I'll take a support companion over a dps companion all day in group content. Makes everything so much easier and greatly increase survivability which also means dps for your group.

While it wouldn't directly increase damage. What about the intellect devourer. It has mind shock holds enemies for 2seconds and mindflay doubles that to 4 seconds. Mind shock has a 10 second cool down and mind flay is 30 seconds I think. Large cone of affect.

For AOE give Splinters a try. I'm really happy with it. For single target I've been running Jagged Dancing Blade.

The way wayward wizzard might be low damge but he is a lot better then before he got reworked becuse in the old days pre mod 19 only frooze targates. Wayward wizzard is ment for control powers.

Now you need to give dread warrior a spin! He actually gives a good buff for dps, imo 2 drizzts or 3 and 2 drizzts and 1 dread warrior is a comp for geoupped content. Pair that with a healer using either lion or squire and the tank with spined devil and you can do some real good stuff on geouped content.

But with only 1 in the ñarty you are missing the buff, that's why I considered using 2 Most likely there are better ways to set up group content, I'm just throwing ideas to create a discussion. The concept of choosing your companion for the utility really appeals to me due to hard ilvl stat caps on high ilvl characters, 3.6k of anything could be very big above 62k ilvl and since we wouldnt be using comps to do dmg we could potentially change indoms for stats! Same goes for warlords buffs for mounts....I kind of like the possibilities this new balancing act entails for the community tbh.

Wait-wait-wait, does "Go for the jugular" on AOW work *CORRECTLY* now? Im curious bcuz i upgraded him to Mythic when Mythic companions were introduced as a new rarity + for my build he was suitable. Like few days ago i was testing him and his bite didnt deal double damage on 1st hit. What im missing? P.S. Check Neverember guard archer, slightly better version of Storm rider (She has faster cast time on her both at-will and main attack aka encounter than Storm rider), very decent for AOE and not bad at single target: deals double damage on slowed by her at-will target, and penetrates all emenies through a narrow line.

That's weird. I've run several TOMMS and my Gith never lost to Pseudodragon (single boss). Either she does the same damage or more damage than Pseudo.

Halaster Phases a lot, so that gives time for the Gith recharge his spin attack and do it again next time the boss comes back

The same is valid for Pseudo. Also, in vos, except for the first boss, the others don’t last that much if the team is good.

hard to say, the Succubus/Incubus is good in single target just for the debuff on the boss, causing everyone to deal 10% more damage, but doesn't do the highest damage there. Otherwise there is the Githyanki which can be good in some aoe fights, and decent in boss fights

I know at least 2 companions that have potential in beating all those companion, the key to the companion damage it it's reaction speed if it slow it not going to do a lot of damage at all, even if it has the big hit one, by the time it reacts the target is most likely already dead. That's why Pseudodragon out shined the rest, his really fast reacting but not even close to being one of the best companions in game and I would never purchase him.

All the tests are amazing, huge chunk of a good work, but... why all the tests in active companion meta are heavy relying on dmg itself... if we wouldnt focus on companion damage itself but on things (buffs/debuffs) enhancing our own dps that would make a trick and every single companion could be nerfed as many times as developers would like becaus we wouldnt rely on their dmg but how they can make us stronger. There are so many companions with low dmg but amazing bonuses... 3% dmg increas... 3% ap gain... 5% armor burn etc etc..... let every single person in trial (for example) wear it and tadaaaaaaaaa..... what just happened we are doing dmg and we dont care about active companions dmg.... people dont want to know their class... they get some guides instead of run some tests by themselves and depand to much on companion dmg and thats sad :( (i know its by design... but still)

we all made sure we had about the same Item level and stats, then the 3 Dps used the companions, we did a few runs and I got the average of how the companions were performing,

Hey dude, thank you for the video. I was messing around today and accidentally stumbled across a companion with what I think has awesome recharge speeds for its attacks and does decent damage maybe more I don't know since I'm only 2 indom runes and a bell with warlords. Could you test it out for me at mythic with all 6 indomitable slotted? If I say the name of the companion NW will nerf it lol so to give it time before it's found out over their side, this companion has a shell and is usually found on a beach. Ssshhh lol. I know Devs are watching. 🤣

Yup, we did multiple runs as I mentioned with the succubus, the first time we tested her, didnt pay attentionto her location. The runs after we did and for example had her on the outside edge of the group that spawn at the forest, so her kiss could effect nearly all the mobs, thus 50k dps there
