My very first duck call was a lil single reed promos call, but it was smoke black. Called in alot of birds with it. The ducks love the raspiness of it. Now im using echo calls an zink, an DC, an a primos phat lady, an a Ram swap meet call

I wish there was more wood ducks here in Oklahoma! I really want to find a place that holds some because I want to get one mounted so bad! I’ve also had a lot of luck with cheap calls. Sometimes you have to do with what you have! Thank you for all of your films and happy hunting! 🙏

A couple quick things when cooking birds like that. You don't want to cut the meat before you cook it because all of the fat and juices will run out while cooking, and it will make it more dry. You can slice the skin a bit, and like you did, cook it mostly skin down, then flip to the other side to a med rare cook. Then, let the breast rest for five minutes or so before you slice it. It gives the meat a chance to soak all the juices back up. I would also leave the meat out of the vegetables and not cook them together to finish it up if you're keeping the skin on. If you introduce moisture to the skin after it nice and crispy, it'll soak up the extra moisture and make it soggy. Anyways, great video, and great cooking. Keep it up!

Used a cheap Buck Gardner double reed for years. And, yeah, I graduated to a single reed Stenson (Clarendon AR) and it's incredible. But that old double reed killed plenty of ducks!😊 Small air and back pressure worked well, actually helped me learn a lot about technique.

I have a recipe for you to do. I do this with Specs, Mallards, and Pintails. Pluck the breast like you did that goose, and just season it like a steak and grill it. After our waterfowl opener in California my dad and I shot 4 mallards and cooked I cooked them just like that and did duck and eggs for the football game on Sunday morning (our East coast games start at 10 AM).

I have around 7 calls on my lanyard. 5 of them are duck calls that range from $10 to $60. I used my $10 call for 90% of the season and killed around 150 ducks this season. The thing works pretty well

I know this is a few months late but you should really try fiesta brand fajita seasoning regular or chicken you can get it online I use it on dove breast deer, quail, with onion, bell peppers and jalapeno and tomatoes cooking the vegetables in there helps keep the meat moist. Just a suggestion from a texas hunter

Hay Bobby hope the biopsy comes back negative. Went hunting this morning. No wind blue skys...not the best...buuut we limited today on 5 different species of duck and almost had a shot on snows. Great vids man keep up the slaying. Also you should do the old guy feading ducks on a bench challenge. Dress up like an old guy put a bench out and put all the decoys really close up to you like your feeding them bred.
