I would love to see whole spectrum analysis, not just 1k and above :( ..I love this mic and will probably get it soon

The plots go down to 10 Hz although I arguably should have used a log frequency scale

Very interesting!

Hey! I came because I’m interested in contact mics. But I was surprised and delighted to see your shirt by Karin Ohlsson! I have some of their work on my wall 😊

Haha I got it in Goteborg -- I was living in Norway and wanted to troll my friends about how they are doing fika wrong; fika sadly never involves kanelboller in Norway, as is depicted on the shirt.

Ah yes - the best reason to buy a shirt!

Maybe you could get more repeatable results for the tests by just appatching the contact mic straight to the transducer. And if that's not possible, maybe you could try an object thats less resonant than a guitar like a piece of 2x4. Maybe the resonances in an acoustic guitar are just too complex to get a repeatable results.

fascinating experiment. but why is positive pressure needed on the transducer? that just interferes with the transducer's ability work optimally.

Ah, just to keep it from vibrating itself loose since I'm using weak adhesive. I don't need it to be optimal here, just consistent and repeatable.

Is it okay to use hot glue to attach it?
@metalmarshmallowllc Жыл бұрын
Yes, it won't hurt the mic

I'm 4 months late but it would be way better with a logarithmic scale. These linear squiggles don't correspond visually to what I hear at all. The stuff above 6k is completely irrelevant to this video, yet it takes the majority of the screen.
