I had the scratching arch for my cats and they loved it as well!😂 It would always be full of hair. I learned later that at the bottom of the base there is a hole where you can stuff catnip inside.

I have that fountain too, and my cats love it. At first, they were a bit intimidated by the running water, so I left it out without the pump turned on for a few days. Then once they got used to it I turned on the pump, and now they love it! They use all levels, and even the little waterfall bit. I still also have a regular bowl of water out for them, which they use as well, but they definitely prefer the fountain.

My cat was a rescue who'd had a very rough life. She was terrified of boxes and all sorts of things. We got her a collapsible tunnel that she could run through and hide in. It made her a new cat. She loves boxes now, btw.

Oh, lovely Tom 💜💜💜😣 It's so funny, we tried that kind of scratching arch, and none of our cats at the time cared for it. Every feline has their own catonality! I like the activity board, we might try that or something similar. All three of our current furbabies prefer the kitty fountain that we've had for several years now. 😻💜

I think a standard cat tree or scratching post is usually good enough. I have a couple and my cats absolutely love them. Also, the reason some cats only drink running water is because in the wild, still water carries lots of diseases and mud and all kinds of icky stuff. Running water often doesn't.

I have tried different cat brushes for my cat, but the only thing he accepts - and really loves - is a regular human comb of plastic. He always sniffs it and starts to groom himself when I bring it out (he understands it's grooming time!), then purrs non-stop as I comb him. It's really fun and a great bonding time

This is toy that my cats love, don’t be currently playing with it so it’s like a snowman with like a hole in it and you can wind it up and it spins or you can just spin it. You put treats in it and spin it and it just releases them randomly and the cats. Love it.

I wanna adopt a cat one day. when I adopted my dog, the shelter workers told me that she would never be able to get along with cats. But she's gotten along fine with all cats she has been around she has 5 cat friends all in various homes so maybe she will get another friend one day

I literally just cut out a square of styrofoam and put cat nip on top and thy love it. They roll around on the floor with it and will try to grab it back if you take it from them. It’s adorable❤️

You could try a cat condo! In the bottom, there’s a little room where you can store small toys. In the exterior, there’s a small stair/couch and on the top it’s a small space made out of carpet for sleeping. It has a little Cotten ball hanging from the top.

This video is lovely! I definitely subscribed. I know that in the UK it's basically assumed that a cat will live outside, but I hope you'll reconsider eventually letting them be outdoors cats. Cats living outdoors have a vastly shorter lifespan on average, a destructive impact on the local ecosystem, and in general are exposed to so many more predators/traffic/parasites/other nasties. It seems like you'd definitely be willing and able to give them an engaging and enjoyable life indoors :)

Donteatacowman People don’t necessarily let them ‘live’ outside, it’s more an extra place that can stimulate them during the day. We let our cat out during the day when he chooses to go, and he comes back when he pleases, as well as at night to avoid foxes and other predators. It’s helpful to let him outside as he’s high energy, and so tires himself out by running, and can come back to be cuddled too! During the day we’re at work/school and so rather than him being cooped up at home alone (which is so lonely) we let him out, and then he’ll come home again. So it’s not as unsafe as you’d assume! As long as you’re safe and knowledgeable about the real world not much can go wrong.

It's not fair to keep a dog indoors all day and it's equally unfair to keep a cat indoors all day they need to go out for exercise, socialisation and stimulation. You could put them on a lead and take them out for a walk but then if an unleashed dog or fox tries to ambush them you are essentially preventing them from escaping and dooming them. Cats have good instincts and are very skilled at surviving on their own and don't actually need humans we keep them around for pest control and our own personal enjoyment so provided that they are microchipped and neutered then they will likely be ok when they come home and they will come home because they have homing instinct. You have good intentions and maybe your cats like being indoor cats but what works for your cats might not work for others because like humans all cats are different and while some humans would be perfectly happy to stay inside all day every day most cats would hate it.

Totally agree as long as you haven't declawed the cat (or adopt a declawed cat) a blend of indoor outdoor is great for them. My 17yr old doesn't like to anymore but she used to hang with neighbor cats on the roof. Freaked me out but she had fun!

My cat (who's very food driven and far from playful) loves this ball that you put food in, and he have to push it around for the food to come out. He'll even come find you to tell you when it's empty. I just put his normal dryfood (which is always available to him in his bowl) in the ball, but he just loves pushing it around and eating the rewards
