A C6-0 skating to a C6-7 on less than a 1" body tube probably made the 1,600 feet easy enough. Those trees every where I look, congratulations on a good angle on the pad to land in flat grass.

I heard the breeze during the intro, saw your launch rod was plumb, and already knew you were gonna be walking. Try aiming intro the breeze if there is any, or wait until its totally calm. Nice rocket!!

My 12 year old son and I have been launching quite a few models lately (I did it as a child and was thrilled when my son expressed interest.) I just ordered a Mongoose yesterday and then found your video today. My only questions are, since I have never done a 2 stage before, does the 1st stage free fall or have its own recovery system and did you recover your first stage/was it difficult to find since you were tracking the main rocket and not the 1st stage?

That's great! I have always loved rocketry since I was a kid. The first stage free falls back to earth and only the upper stage is parachuted back to the ground. Sometimes the first stage is easy to find, other times it is not. It just depends on the wind and launch area conditions.

Nice. Couldn't see it on camera until 2min 50sec. How hard is it to find the first stage? I started a 2-stage rocket from kit a while back then didn't continue, but I want to finish it and try. Used to do models as kid. Did some with our kid in Boy Scouts but didn't take to it much. tks for the video.

Thank you. Sometimes it's pretty easy to find the first stage. Depends on wind conditions etc. other times it's not. That's cool, yes you should definitely continue with the build. That will be awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🚀
