@@monkwashereregarding the 2:44 "reach" it was most likely "phantom range" from latency... If you see your weapon hit them, then they dodge and you here the hit but no damage... Dodge everything and don't depend on spacing.

Fun fact: rot has never scaled with arcane. Ever. Ripple crescent weapon + grease? No. Communion seal and Scarlet aeonia? Also no. Occult rotten duelist weapons? Nope

@@titesyl1023 it just straight up doesn't work in the code, and with how famously spaghetti-like froms code is, it's best not to risk it by making a second type of Scarlet rot

The glaive was really underwhelming; honestly I think this thing could've been a death scythe instead, considering we have a lot of good halberds already. The poleblade still needs some love; the fact that they have ARC scaling on it, with a rot buildup still makes me think that they just forgot that its only madness that scales that way. especially since all the new madness stuff as int/fth scaling on it lol

You should do the heavy thrusting swords next, the Queelign’s Greatsword is the longest in class by far as it’s got the range of a spear and it’s the best in class for a flame infusion while the Sword Lance, although shortest in class (barely tho) is the strongest piercing damage weapon in the game, even beating out the Rusted Anchor in AR, and has the status effect build-up of a colossal sword

2:03 Ranged ashes of war rarely ever get above D scaling, it is meant to make them balanced relative to magic spells which don't get any damage boost from upgrades only from stats.

Just for everyone's sake. If you put Carian Suvereignity on a weapon with "B" scaling in int the skill will still only have "D" or at the very best low "C" rank scaling. Ranged ash scaling is very loosely dependent on the weapon's stats.

To my knowledge, though, that D scaling is for the *weapon*. You can even see that the weapon is only getting 17 extra magic damage from 26 int.

@@Deneb626 Bullet-type unique skills on weapons usually (but not always !) use the same scaling parameters as the weapon, where skills from ashes of war use a more complex method using both the base affinity of the ash of war and the weapon's current infusion, but not the actual scaling of the weapon.

Should've power-stanced the Poleblade of the Bud. The power-stanced Halberd moveset is really nice for catching people who dodge relatively well, and it would've bumped up your Rot (if you hit both hits) from 55 to 72 per attack. BUT, in the end the Poleblade of the Bud is still a terrible weapon because you could just use a Keen or Heavy Guardian Swordspear, put an actually good AoW on it, and use Drawstring Rot Grease for 80 Rot on your attacks, the same moveset, and a useable AoW... I really wanted the Poleblade to be good and I'm so disappointed it isn't.

@@kuprukuula Well, the issue would be that you cannot put Grease on an Occult-infused weapon. So if you want a Rot Halberd on an otherwise Arcane build then the Poleblade is your best option. But if you want a good Rot Halberd then any Halberd with (Drawstring) Rot Grease does a better job.

Imagine how good Elden Ring would be if they actually fixed their shitty "hurt-boxes" and actually lined them up with the weapons correctly 🤦

the hurtboxes work properly though? that's why you can strafe in PvP. usually you get hit because of lag, not the hitboxes this isn't an issue at low ping

@@paracame8162 go look at pictures of the hurt-boxes. They're currently "as intended"; not to be mistaken for correctly. They're all like 10x wider than the weapons themselves which further exacerbates the lag issue when you shouldn't get hit. Some even extend past the tip of the weapon 🤦
