Bailey B The Believe Beauty foundation brush. IMO, Scott Barnes is too expensive unless you’re a famous YT’er who’s sister is a nurse.
@BaileyB4 жыл бұрын
If you hadn’t heard about them through Tati, would your perception of the brand be different? For ex. Do you view similarly priced brush brands (Wayne Goss, Artis, Hakuhodo, etc) in the same way?
@StormSongs74 жыл бұрын
Bailey B TBH, I really think many of the high dollar brushes and cosmetics in general ....meh. I think it comes down mostly to technique, how well you know the products, experience and practice. I’m not trying to argue. Years ago when I purchased a $40.00 brush (I forget the brand, was some time during the late 70’s in cosmetology school), the bristles gave up the ghost after the 5th or 6th washing. I’m no expert so I probably should’ve held my tongue.

I’m not trying to argue either! Just genuinely curious. Thanks for your perspective!

*So, in the clips where you show yourself using the brushes, what lip balm are you wearing? It looks like a pinky iridescent balm of some sort and it's LOVELY.*
@BaileyB4 жыл бұрын
It’s either Lanolips lemonade lip treatment, or Laneige Lip Mask! I usually keep my lips with it before makeup, and often just leave it on when I’m done because I like the way they look alone haha!

Thank you soooo much! I am still getting that learning curve w these brushes I wasn’t sure which 1 was for fdtn. I really appreciate this video helping me figure out what’s what. I noticed no shedding it’s so great to hv this set! I use every single brush (unlike those monster 36 sets from BH Cosmetics for $20 bucks so many I never ended up using.) I’d like to see a smaller eyeshadow brush in here maybe but this set is amazing. I’m not a pro MA., but people mocked me online for buying a big contour palette w so many shades lol they’d **** their pants If they found out I spent $1k on Scott Barnes lol I’m really into his aesthetic & look. I wear his stuff almost every day. He’s amazing! Thank you again so so so SO much. 🤍

have some Mary Kay brushes that are similar but there's one particular three-sided brush but I'm so stuck on using for foundation it's been fabulous but that's not even what it's for I just can use a lot less product and it goes on smooth and a tiny it one that is for the eye brows I use for eye lining it is my ultimate favorite it's super hard tiny brush but I love it

So helpful! I was on the fence about buying the #63 brush but I think I'll get it to use as a crease brush. Also, if you're open to requests, I've seen a lot of advertising for Anisa Beauty makeup brushes & would love to see an honest review & comparisons for those.

This was ana amazing review! I have the number 62 blender brush, 2 of them actually, and I absolutely love it. It makes all my other brushes feel so scratcy, as it is so soft. And as you describes, it can be used to make almost an entire eye look. I use it for crease colour and darker outer corner, and I only use another brush, or my finger, for my lid colour :)

Thank you for posting this, important for those of us who love great brushes designed by the great Scott Barnes! I have the two different eyebrushes that are the liners for lips too. Love them beyond belief so gonna invest in the two blenders for eyes (when he has another sale), stay healthy and happy and drink lots of water!

BH Cosmetics has a brush that is very similar - Smokey Eye Essential - they are very soft and tapered - i love them so much - it kinda is a good dupe for that last eye shadow blending brush you showed.

im looking for a brush to contour my nose! i sort of like the 63 to do that but i find it too thick BUT THEN u brought out the real techniques one! but i was wondering if the real techniques one is fluffy enough to blend powder contour on the nose? or are there brushes for nose you would recommend? I think all of these companies are charging too much for synthetic fiber brushes.
@BaileyB4 жыл бұрын
Interesting! I rarely think about fiber material when I consider price. Not saying it’s correct, I just realized with your comment that I typically consider quality, shape, and utility when thinking about price, and never fiber. If it gets the job done and will last through washings, I don’t care what they’re made of!
@prettyacct4 жыл бұрын
@@BaileyB I'm thinking of the MAC and Tom Ford brushes that were all natural hair at one time and now they are synthetic, but there has been no decrease in the price. I'm pretty sure it's a lot cheaper to manufacture, but the customer is getting less for the same money.
