This is fantastic! Thank you for perfect timing. I have plans from 'Jerry Bates Plans' for a 1/4 scale Kitfox. I had Lasercut USA cut a short kit for me & I'm about to start building. I know nothing about setting up flaperons or how well they work. But this video has me very excited to get building. I think a big Kitfox will be a fun plane. I'm thinking a Saito FG11 for power.

I love you guys vids, I salute you from Scotland, always a highlight of the day when you post. As for flaperons I've used them, they can be useful but I don't use them anymore. Why? I didn't think I needed them, though they might be excellent on my smallish PC9 (is an OS46 2 Stoke nitro), it does not want to slow down, so Ty for the memory jolt. My overpowered dle30 over powered Seagull Super Tunaco (I always get them mixed up, so similar) has flaps and slows down really nice. It's the same as Captain Blazs one just with a bigger (honestly overkill, should be a dle20) engine! Keep making us happy showing the best hobby in the world.

I would like to see a video of the plane flying without the tips more than I would like to see it on skis. BTW, here in the USA we would more likely use the term "cross wind(s)" over "side wind(s)" particularly with respect to runways and aircraft takeoffs and landings.
