Definitely a cool bike for a 7 year old kid. Just learning and wants to rip around the yard and not be noisy for neighbours. But I think you’d still get a better bang for your buck getting a 110 or 50-65cc 2 stroke and it’ll teach the kids way more on the bikes.

The sad thing about the Crf110 is that you paid all that money and it dudded out on you already, you could have spent the same money got a Thumpster with a 212 & 5 speed, and been ripping all day. I am not knocking Honda but quite honestly I think that when it comes to pitbikes the Higher end units like Thumpster & Pitster Pro are a much better-equipped offering for about the same money as a bare-bones TTR, CRF, or KLX. I am 50 years old and grew up ripping Honda trail 50 and trail 70s bikes along with my Harley Z 90 dual sport. They are still a blast and the China companies have made some pretty legit clones of them over the past few years. The electric thing is something I never expected to see Honda jump on board with though. I worked for American Honda Finance and it is hard to believe that one of the top engine builders in the world would entertain electric anything with their name on it. Honda was one of the first companies to ever produce a vehicle that met the California emissions without using any type of smog pump or catalyst system back in the early 1970s with their CvCC now known as the Civic. Not only that but they were able to achieve 27 MPG back then running a carburated 1.2 liter 4 cyl that had only a 4-speed manual trans. Granted it only produced about mid-50s for hp and had a top speed of 90 mph but at a time when there was a huge fuel crunch similar to what we are experiencing now, 27 MPG and a 20-second quarter-mile time were welcomed statistics. Honda has always been one of the top engine manufacturers in the world and was the first to crack 100hp per liter of displacement without the use of forced induction or a rotary-style engine. To Honda's credit, before Yamaha debuted the V-Max, Honda held the top slot for the most powerful bike on the market with the V-65 1100 Sabre. It was a wicked machine with unrivaled torque it was so powerful and sketchy that the US had considered banning continued importation due to so many people getting torn up and killed on them. When you consider the era we are talking about circa 1984/85, it made 121 rwhp, 75 lb-ft of torque, and would run the 1/4 mile in the mid-10s right off of the showroom floor with no mods. To further put that into perspective when Kawasaki debuted the ZX-14 it was touted as the most powerful sports bike on the market at slightly over 200hp. It would run high 9s low 10s off the showroom floor, but you have to consider that it has a much wider back tire that was not biased ply, is made of a purpose-designed compound that enhances traction, it is lower, longer, and 100 times more aerodynamic. On top of that, it has a far more efficient ignition and fuel delivery system than the V-65, yet they are less than 6 tenths of a second apart in ETs at the track in stock configurations with nearly 20 years of tech separating them. Pretty amazing.

Got my 6 year old son on Husky EE5 and 4 year old son on Oset MX 10. I'm pretty happy with how much riding we're able to do in local urban forests and on the race track. The Honda looks dead on arrival as Honda licensed it out. Here is my son when he was 5 on an Oset MX 10 vs gas with the holeshot. The Oset MX 10 is 5 km/hr slower than a PW50 on the top end speed, so getting great starts was the only way to try to out skill the gas riders over the duration of a typical race. My son learned a lot! The plan is to get a ton of seat/race time and go gas for 65cc . kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXe3o6qEqKiFeKM
