Truth is that, Aj1s werent banned the airships were the ones that got banned soo during Michael jordans rookie training He wore a red and black shoe that looked like a air force 1 jordan 1 and dunks but it wasnt the bred 1s got banned it was the airshipss...sooo it was place as a placeholder for mj while the jordan 1 is still being made.

I love you and your videos, but I have to correct the wrong things you said: 1. The Jordan 1s used in the marketing materials and posters didn't have wings logo yes...But come the NBA regular season MJ was very much wearing the Air Jordan 1s we know and love, the one with wings logo. Actually, he didn't even wear the Jordan 1s in the regular season right away, he wore the Nike Air Ship for the first few games. 2. The Black/Red Jordan 1s weren't the "banned" shoes. Ok, yes technically they were still "banned" cause of the color blocking. But It was actually the Nike Air Ship in a very similar black and red color blocking that MJ wore before the Air Jordan 1s that were the real banned shoes by the NBA. Back then, it was a requirement that players wore a shoe that was predominantly white (like 95% white). With the NBA banning the black and red Nike Air Ship, Nike just took that opportunity to make a really genius and creative ad commercial for the Black and Red Jordan 1s. And MJ barely wore the Black and Red Jordan 1s throughout the regular season, actually he didn't, it was only during the Dunk Contest and one game in the Bulls Celtics playoff series (SoleCollector did an article on this, among other sources). So MJ and Nike probably weren't even fined by the NBA, they only received a warning letter when MJ wore the Black and Red Jordan 1s in the dunk contest.
