great video! but you should probably elaborate which app you use for taking photos since the moment camera app only allows 4:3 aspect ratio for the tele and wide lens. should the app allow for 16:9 it will be perfect. a little detail but makes all the difference! The native iphone app allows for 16:9 aspect ratio however it does not support the ability to manually adjust the focus thus reducing the quality of the image. hope that the next update on the moment camera app will fix this :)

16:9 in the native app is just a crop, and you use lose resolution. you can easily crop your photos 16:9 after from the moment app as well.

Wish we have an iphone Ultra in future which other than having these 3 cameras has an open exposed 1" inch Dual stacked DCG 6K Pure Bayer sensor with an external lens mount where we can mount manual lenses designed for that mount for professional stuff. Hope they also remove the baked in noise reduction from ProRes LOG as we are still not getting fine sensor grain/texture out of all those ProRes bitrates.

Specifically on the 18 mm T, do you have issues with focus? I tried it on an iphone 14 pro max and, the phone had a hard time trying to find focus. I was using the native video camera app .

The iPhone 16 works best with the T-Series Lenses as they were updated to match the lens characteristics of the newer iPhones.

You can add an ND filter on top of the lenses with the proper adapter! They're available on our website

Patrick, when you say you shoot in RAW, I am assuming Bayer RAW (Not ProRaw) out of the Moment or other 3rd party app? I cannot stand the Deep Fusion processing that the native camera mandates on us. Thanks for the informative video!

We have a drop in lens mount you can buy separately for M-Series on iphone 16 - but we really don't recommend it! T-Series is the way to go for the new phones if you want the edge to edge clarify. We do have an M-Series to T-Series trade in program though!!

I hav videos in my channel with 14/15 maxes with m series lens. Now i got 16 pro max - thinking about a case to use m-series anamorphic i got. Im talking only abt 1.33x m series anamorphic lens above. (Moment gives 50$ per lens if u send them, even if u dnt hav receipt. Only 25$ option needs receipt and keep lens).

For me it's weird how video of the iPhone sometimes looks so unbelievably good and sometimes quite bad, actually. Of course, good lighting plays a huge role in it. But I think what distracts me the most is it looks like it can't really translate motion very well in some scenarios. It looks all jittery and unnatural sometimes. As if there was no motion blur at all.. I think I heard once that the native camera app somehow uses a dynamic frame rate or so. Does it maybe have to do with that? And if you'd use the BM app it would look much more like we're used from normal camera? Or is it a shutter angle problem or frame dropping or something? The shots of the guitar playing shows what I mean pretty well I think. If I look at the strumming hand, I see it sometimes or the fretting hand while you're pushing in... Does anybody else see this or am I just weird? 😂

Is it me or did the anamorphic look really jelly-ish? Is that just a result of a low shutter speed in those darker scenes? I know the horizon wont look level but there seemed to be a bit more distortion than I was expecting. I like the rest of the lineup but am a little hesitant on that one. Anyone with feedback or tested it with the BM cam app that processes the anamorphic image squeeze.

it's the stabilization - i recommend using a gimbal or tripod with it, or turning off stabilization but you'll encounter micro jitters.
