Testing my new Laserworld laser & controller

Hi guys. This is a bit of a different video to my usual ones. I’ve just received my new laser & controller & thought I’d film a quick video to show you what they both do. Hopefully some of you will find it interesting. Thank you.
Always treat lasers with respect. Never point them towards people, animals or yourself as they can cause eye damage.
Don’t shine a laser into a camera as it will damage it.
Lasers like this one aren’t toys and can cause damage.

I found this very interpreting I use DMX and dmx controller .In the past for scanners LED and finally a lase.The first one I had was single colour 2nd was laserworld Ds 900 RGB -I used pangolin quick show but I had used the single colour laser with DMX no problem .I decided to test the couour laser with DMX - but only got one colour .NOW finally I see this video and I may have ago ..as using page a and b ..must be the answer as shown-I like DMX re full control sound to light acess programes ..really nice video -Got me thinking now Many thanks

Lasers are so dang much fun!! There are so many inexpensive options with surprising capabilities out there for smaller venues/home shows and such now. I need to upgrade the cheap one I bought and this looks like just the thing.

I recommend you to use the ILDA interface, its really amazing. You can controll everything, but its expensive about 400$ for a Pangolin FB3QS. But i think its worth it.

@@DisneyMarkUK I can give you my old Ishow ILDA dac, its not great but better than DMX and it only works with Windows XP. So you probely have to use a Virtual Maschine on you PC. If you want you only have to pay delivery from Germany.

Does the 100mw from red light in this laser mean that it's a 100mw beam focused in 1 small line moving fast? Or is the laser scattered in the machine and therefore creating multiple weaker beams? I have shined with a red pattern laser of 100mw in my eye accidently a few times but this didn't cause any harm to my eye, I think this is because the beam is projecting a pattern so the 100mw is spread out.

What about eyesafety? If you are at a festival you look directly in the lasers aswell? is that harmfull?

@@DisneyMarkUK if it's on auto mode and scans fast is it harmful as well? And is there an option to only make it scan above people in a living room? So you put it on an elevated place and make it only shine horizontal and up.

@@jurrianlangevoort8744 I’m no expert but it’s recommended that no beams touch the crowd. You can position it in a way that the beams don’t shine low enough to touch anyone in the crowd.

Great video, I got the same laser yesterday, only in sound to light but filled the room. The dmx comes tomorrow. Was it a case of trial and error or does the dmx come with instructions?

Hi Michael. Before you even think of buying one I’d research them a lot. One like this can easily blind you for a start.

@@DisneyMarkUK yeh I get that, I am in a band, I’m thinking of getting the laser world el 230rgb. I intend on projecting up into smoke above the audience and never directly on to the audience. Does this sound safe, the laser is class 3b. Is there anything else I can do to be as safe as possible
