Testing my new voicebank in OpenUTAU

Hello everyone! It is me, Kureon-P, back with another video to showcase Koru's new voicebank. This is a CV voicebank that is mostly composed of falsetto recordings. I made this voicebank several days ago, thinking that it would sound like a cute, soft bank. I was wronged all along. This new voicebank of mine sounds shitty and kind of cringey, really. Aside from that, I decided on the voicebank name "Amber" because it reflects the orangish color he has on his hair and eyes, plus I thought at first it would fit his supposedly warm tone. This voicebank resembles Namine Ritsu's eve voicebank so much ;-;-;-;-;
I also can't believe that I am only a few days away to celebrating Koru's 3rd Anniversary of existence lol.

i dont think its bad at all!! u just have to find the right range to use it in (like with all voicebanks), i think it sounds nice on the chorus :) openutau also makes my voicebanks sound kind of wonky though, so thats defintitely a factor too haha

This sounds great! But I have one question: Did you change the resampler? If not then that's why it sounds the way it does, as Worldliner (the default resampler for OpenUTAU) just sucks and makes everything sound bad (although it doesn't seem to affect Defoko, other than the no vibrato growl thing). There's probably some other little things that I'm missing, but I'm not sure what they would be, as what I'm hearing seems very indicative of Worldliner. If you don't know how to change resamplers and wavtools in OpenUTAU, I actually have a tutorial for it if you're interested (although I talk very awkward in it lol).

I kept the resampler at worldliner, never changed it.

@@UtaKure Yeah... Worldliner makes even UTAU Kasane Teto sound bad (and she's one of the top voicebanks!), but all the same resamplers form UTAU do work with OpenUTAU, but OpenUTAU creates folders you have to put resamplers and wavtools in for them to work, and then you can do things like sound good and vibrato growl. Although if you want to keep UTAU as your main you don't really have to worry about it. lol

Does anyone have any idea how to install custom voicebanks into Open Utau? Sadly, I've only had that work with the old Utau software :,)

If you're talking about UTAU voicebanks, you could directly install it in OpenUTAU as a zip file. OpenUTAU will do the rest of the extraction work for you

@@UtaKure I meant when you make your own voicebank. I know how to download other voices like Ruko or Tei, but the ones I personally recorded don't work with Open Utau

@@neoncatzzz Oh really? That’s unusual because in my case, my own voicebanks work on both UTAU and OpenUTAU. I did not modify the voicebank creation process just so that it could work on OpenUTAU because it works already, just needs to be installed as a zip file. Other than that, you should be rechecking your oto entries or change from worldliner to another resampler or smth…
