The side obstacle sensors only work in beginner and tripod modes. It will not sense any obstacles in any other mode. They are pretty useless actually.

Yes they are extremely helpful for close proximity flying. Sometimes I need to slide the P4P up into a corner to get the shot and it would be edge of the seat stuff without sensors helping, as the distance cannot always be accurately judged from the ground.

The Phantom 3 Advanced and Pro were the same aircraft with different cameras. (2.7K vs 4K camera) The Phantom 4 Advanced and Pro are different aircraft but they have the same cameras. (More or less object avoidance sensors)

Its the same aircraft as the original Phantom 4, with the camera from the Pro

Cool tutorial! Have a question. I watched another video where you show mavic taking 360 panos in auto mode. The Phantom 4 advance has the same chance to do it? It's a possibility through the app or it depends on the drone you are using? Thanks!

sdimas73 the other drone was stationary. I zoomed out in post as it descended to make it look like both cameras were moving

If it wasn't for the camera on the P4P I wouldn't have even bought one, I keep the O.A. Sensors off anyway. They prevent you from flying low and in between tight objects where the cool shots are.

Every review of the P4P mentions the "fantastic 1 inch 20mp sensor".... and yes, it's a pretty good sensor, so what an absolute pity that DJI doesn't actually use all of it. :( Thanks to the use of a lens that has significant curvilinear distortion and an image circle that barely covers the image sensor, DJI have embedded an image profile that interpolates the final image from a much smaller area of the sensor. So buyers be warned, you are not actually getting the 20mp camera you thought you were (it's closer to 15mp in reality). Poor form DJI!

Just heard in the news last night, Laguna is going to ban drones. Any more info ?; can they even do ?. Federal laws Trump both state & local. We just won the drone registration because FAA cannot make REGULATIONS in conflict with Congress mandated LAWS.
