Is there any safety cut out device (like puncture valve in MC engine) in ME-B engine? If no, how it in done in ME-B? I mean how emergency cut off done in ME-B?

In MC Engine ( Conventional), puncture valve is an additional way of cutting off fuel supply ( other than Governor which directly engages fuel linkage to zero for stopping) to ensure positive stopping of the engine. In ME Engines, we do not have a cam operated fuel pump ( as in MC Engines). Instead of cam, we have servo oil supply for moving the fuel booster plunger . And for timing of injection , we have FIVA valve ( or ELFI in case of ME-B engine) which is electronically controlled. For stopping engine, FIVA valve gets signal from ECS to not to inject any fuel. Also, there won't be any servo oil pressure to move the plunger. Both these arrangements will ensure no fuel injection.

Dear sir. Dear sir! Good day to you. Regarding to MAN B&W 5s60 me-c overspeed trip test reset. Our vessel carried out overspeed trip test. It working. Do you have a Kongsberg system for trying out Overspeed trip? Normally , you must have put it in test mode. You need to change rpm setting back to normal on the screen and come out of test mode. Telegraph should be on Stop.
