for the ultrasound on thursday- you can ask them to write the genders on a piece of paper in an envelope that you can open once you get back home and film your reaction, and also sometimes the babies aren’t in the right position or have their legs crossed so they might not be able to tell on thursday anyways so don’t worry about the blood test being a waste of money ❤️❤️

@@juliahry2759 ADHD makes it really hard for a person to concentrate on one thing, so it makes memorization and things along that line much more difficult, so to make it easier on one's self, if you set a schedule, like for example, at the original commenter said, they make all their appointments in the mornings. This schedule keeps you from focusing on something else and forgetting about it because it's a constant that you wont forget if you always do it. It may leave a person with ADHD distressed if they don't follow said schedule, but it's not like that for everyone, ADHD comes at different intensities with different people.

@@juliahry2759 I find it’s just really hard to hold more than one task or appointment in my mind at a time. If my appointment is in the afternoon, I’m worried about starting a task (like studying) that I will get hyper focused on and then end up being late or having to rush. If I have an appointment in the afternoon and I have other stuff I need to get done, I will make a schedule that plans every minute of my day, including planned breaks, planned meal times, etc. That’s just how I’ve learned to manage my ADHD as a grad student. However, when I worked full time, it was different because I had external expectations on my time, so it was easier to know what I needed to be doing.

@@juliahry2759 as far as how i spend my time, it’s stuff like scrolling, or just things that do not help me accomplish what i need to. And in the back of my mind I’ll be like “You should be doing X” (and that voice is REALLY loud) but I just can’t get myself to do it. I’m currently on a journey of discovery with ADHD because I was diagnosed in 2nd grade and for the last like 25 years I thought ADHD was just “not being able to focus” but I’m learning that it’s so so much more. There’s a great KZbin channel called “How to ADHD” that has helped me better understand all the different ways that ADHD affects my life. Her channel, along with other people making ADHD content, has helped me recognize behaviors and develop strategies and skills to help me accomplish my goals that work WITH my behaviors rather than against them.

I just want to say one of the most traumatic things that’s ever happened to me was when my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. It was only stage 1 or 2 but she had half her lung removed and just knowing something could happen broke me. Zachary I can’t imagine how hard and traumatic it is for you. my family has done this ring trick forever. instead of a string, take a strand (or a few) of your hair. instead of over your tummy, dangle it over your hand. after it does the side to side or spin once, stop it and do it again. keep doing this until it doesn't move at all. it will tell you how many you're going to have, and the order that you'll have them. my mom, without fail, always gets boy, girl, boy, boy; which is all of us. it's accurate for the rest of my family too

My uncle was diagnosed with multiple myeloma last year. I moved to his city for school last year so I have been helping him. Someone my mum knows very sadly had a stillbirth at 31 weeks, so she was TERRIFIED of buying anything for the baby before she was born, I don't even remember if she found out the gender. The nausea thing wasn’t true for me. I was sick with all my kids but with my boys I was so sick the whole pregnancy I lost nearly 30 pounds each time. Good thing they were 6 years apart.

i can relate to zachary a lot, my heart really goes out to him i lost my mother around two weeks before my 13th birthday and it was the most tragic thing that has ever happened to me since she was a single mother before she met my stepdad in 2015 and so she was both parents to me and my older sister so we three were always so close i wish i could donate all of my money rn but unfortunately i don’t have a lot but i will be making sure to spread awareness for this incredibly strong woman who i know would be proud of zachary

If you experience any “disappointment” about the results please know it is normal! With baby #3 I was like “well if I never find out I’ll be happy once they’re born because I’ll have the baby there in my arms”. I still grieved my fictional daughter for a couple hours because turns out I had a son. It is so normal, so whatever you’re having if you feel any sort of sadness please see it as a small moment of silence for the babies that could’ve been. It will pass and you’re gonna be so excited for what they are that it’ll push all sad feelings out!

Gender disappointment is something no one understands until they go through it. I was convinced I was having a girl and I’m pregnant with a boy. I cried for a week. Doesn’t meant I’m not thrilled I just built a relationship with a little girl for 20 weeks and suddenly “she” was ripped out of my arms and little boy I didn’t “know” was put there instead. It happens more than we think but of course everyone is there to shame the mom for “not being happy”-like I said, if you’ve been through it you understand 💜

Luckily I happen to love my job (18 years as a bedside nurse in Pediatrics!) and only ever think of leaving after a really crappy shift here and there. This happened to me with my first pregnancy! I waited 4 weeks for the bloodwork. They had to take my blood twice! We finally got the call for a girl a day before the ultrasound!🥺 I’m so very blessed. I am now pregnant with twins too! I’m only 7 weeks but so very nervous. Twins do not run in my family.
