In today’s vlog we hang out at home and try out a personal cooling device that we found on Amazon, Jackson faces his fear and we were so proud of him! We’re still not sure why he was afraid of the dial though. Then we transplant our tomato plants from the Aerogarden into a bigger pot, hopefully they live. Fingers crossed! We also make some delicious burgers for dinner and Tim drops some hints about what he wants for Christmas lol. Then we finish the vlog the next morning! We hope you had fun hanging out with us! Thank you for watching and we’ll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

The tomatoes should be in separate pots. Honestly 3 plants in that one pot, small as that one is, they’re not going to survive as well. If you get a couple more bigger pots and plant them all separate, and add a tomato cage to each, they should thrive.

***ALERT!! I'm am RN and noticed something on film that needs Tim's attention. Tim- you have a Varisoce Vein on your right leg, below you knee cap on the inner side of that leg. It sorta like a worm that pops out after extended time walking or on your feet. It can be harmless. But, in time it can become a source of pain and decreased blood circulation below the Varicose Vein. PLEASE share this with your family MD when you go next. NOT an emergency appointment but something that needs to be monitored. Hope this gets to you!

I am watching this in November but I wanted to thank you both for talking about the Derecho - my family is from eastern Iowa and I was out of the state when it happened. It was truly awful because nobody was talking about or aware of the storm outside of the state. Iowans are used to tornadoes and severe weather, and everyone I know says this was the strongest storm they've ever experienced. Cleanup is still continuing now, in November, and most places lost large percentages of their tree cover. This is something people will remember and be affected by for a long time. So, thank you.

Thank you for spreading the word about Iowa. I live in Omaha, NE, just across the river. Omaha is the area where the Derecho started. The wind was so intense, exactly like a hurricane (I was at Disney during Hurricane Jeanne.) and came with no warning. The storm just got worse as it travelled across Iowa. I can’t imagine how scary it was for them. It just left devastation in its wake. Again., thank you for brining awareness to their situation.

As a Brit it always amuses me when people from outside the UK try to pronounce Worcestershire. In terms of the sauce, we generally shorten it to Worcester. Phonetically it’s pronounced Wuh-sess -tur.! Another place name that generally causes pronunciation issues is Leicester or Leicestershire, it’s Less-tur. The Shire part of the word is pronounced Shear! British English is a minefield of odd words!!!

As an Iowan, the past week has been horrible. I was very fortunate during the derecho as my city was in the northern edge of it. We didn’t have hardly any of the destruction that the rest of the state had. Driving from the western border to central Iowa, it was heartbreaking to see my beloved state like this-fields destroyed, trees uprooted, properties damaged. Thank you very much for bringing word to your viewers about the derecho and Iowa. Iowa could use any help that we can get. Thanks again!

I love avocado toast for a late breakfast! I make it a few different ways but my favorite right now is: Ingredients: French Bread (Publix), Butter, Ripe Avocado, Red Onion, Mayo, Salt, Cayenne Pepper (spice), hot sauce. Instructions: 1. Slice french bread into desired size and toast with butter. I toast it by adding butter to a large pan and placing the bread down on the buttered pan and heating until toasted! This works for me because my butter is never soft enough to spread. 2. Take your avocado and gently smash it. I like it chunky so I don't make it fully mush. 3. Add cayenne and salt to taste. 4. Dice your red onion and add to mixture. 5. Squirt of mayo. 6. Stir. 7. Spoon hefty portions onto your toast. 8. Top with hot sauce. 9. Enjoy!

I havent tried to eat mine yet but I've looked up recipes. Also the air conditioning system tim mentioned, they make one where you freeze a sponge and so cold air comes through. Its nice bc baby can't stick their fingers in to it like they can a fan.

I live just north of Des Moines in Iowa. Just about every home in our neighborhood lost big trees. They snapped right at the bottom. Lightening hit neighbors trees... The morning weather was the first I heard of a storm coming. We had no idea it would be so extreme. It will be weeks before the downed trees will be cleaned up. We consider ourselves lucky compared to those living in Linn County and Cedar Rapids. Neighbors certainly came together to help cut down trees and pick up shingles from roofs.

The teething tricks I have are not only taking a knotted washcloth in water, but make that water nice and cold so it feels good in his mouth. Another trick is to take a small metal spoon (small baby spoon) and keep it in a cold glass of water (maybe even put one ice cube in it - cold but not too cold), then take the rounded side of the spoon and run it along his gums, Not only does that feel good on his gums, but if you listen when you do that, you can actually hear a tooth that's broken through click against the spoon before the tooth is actually visible.

I used powdered creamer (don't like anything making my coffee any colder), but that creamer IS really weird, Jenn. And yeah - can't believe your coffee looked like it didn't even have anything in it. I almost always have either Greek yogurt (with maybe some berries) or some oatmeal for breakfast every day - and of COURSE - coffee - Choick Full 'o Nuts Upper West Side (dark roast) and Choconut (chocolate and coconut) mixed, with powdered hazelnut creamer - SOOOOOOO good!! I feel "off" if I don't have my coffee, or hat particular blend. Wow - Can't believe the roots on those plants! That arero garden is so cool! OMG - You melted my heart, as always, working together to help Jackson overcome his fear of the phone dial - great parenting!! Socially distanced hugs to all 3 of you from New Jersey! Stay strong, stay positive, stay healthy!

Hi, put a metal teaspoon in the fridge so its really cold. As long as you supervise him, he should be able to push his gums down hard on the metal and the metal coldness numbs the pain - helped my two so much. Good luck!

Thanks for shining light on derecho. I’m from central Iowa and this event was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. No one was prepared and the damage is so widespread. There’s also lots of people still without power. Thank you again for talking about Iowa! ❤️

Thank you for mentioning Iowa and the derecho storms! We were without power for 6 days and lost all of our fridge and freezer food. We were lucky we had no house damage but others were not so lucky. There are still many people without power and cleanup is still ongoing.

Jen, the almond milk creamer has coconut cream in it which causes it to pour like that when not shaken. Make sure you shake the bottle really, really well before you pour it. That should help with the consistency.

I yawned when jenn and tim yawned😂 also when babies are just that, babies. They copy what they see. So when you yawn he won’t yawn until he’s learnt it’s a copying thing. Same with sneezing. They pick up on how you sneeze and try and copy and make their own sound.

Thank you Trackers for the shout out to Iowa! I’m one of those people who was 1. Stuck in my car on my way home from work when the storm hit and 2. Have been without power since noon on 8/10. I’m in Cedar Rapids which was one of the hardest hit areas. Horizons is a great organization and is doing so much in our community! ❤️

Your family makes me smile :) Good on you for having Jackson play with toy phones. Because when I was very young, my mom let me play with her real phone and to make a long story short-I ended up calling 911 to our home in the middle of a blizzard. And I was like Jackson in the sense that I loved a Disney villain, I loved Scar from The Lion King. I took my Scar action figure to show-and-tell at (either Preschool or Kindergarten) and told everyone he was my favorite character. He still is.

The creamer just needs to be shaken up well. I use their creamers and I love them, but I do put more in than other types. When you shake it well it foams up your coffee nicely. Now other creamers taste way too sweet to me. Also I make a mix of breakfasts: protein pancakes, shredded hash browns with veggies (sometime add eggs, always add seasoning), avocado toast, peanut butter and banana on rice cakes, and oatmeal. Frozen fruit is great on the pancakes and oatmeal and thaws in the microwave after about a minute. Enjoy.

lol that is so cute what he is afraid of! My daughter was afraid of her bumblebee thing on her bouncer and wanted nothing to do with it, you just have to do what you guys did and introduce them to it. Everything is scary and unknown because they are learning so much. Don't hide it away from them, if they see your ok with it and you slowly introduce them they will understand that its ok and learn that its fun! My daughter is 4 and we have gone through all kinds of things of scary things (the dark is the new thing) always an adventure with kids

Thank you for sharing about the derecho. We had one in WV a few years back and pretty much the entire state was out of power for over a week during a heat wave. So I know how horrible it can be. We lost everything in our deep freeze and refrigerator. They definitely need help with food, staying cool, water, etc.

For Jackson's teething, get some new, white, thin cotton washcloths, fold in quarters, get wet and freeze in a zip bag. He will like to hold onto it and chew on the frozen cloth. It'll numb his gums as he chews. Also, get some plain mini bagels, freeze those and give him one to chew on. Just watch him with the bagel because he will be able to scrape off little bits of the bagel and you just want to make sure he swallows it and doesn't just let it collect in his mouth.

POUR THE SYRUP IN THE PANCAKE BATTER WHEN YOU FIRST LAY THE BATTER DOWN TO COOK IT. yes I yelled it cause it is amazing. Feel free to make a sandwich with it (eggs cheese sausage or eggs cheese bacon, etc). Just make sure you pour the batter down to cook it first then spiral in the syrup. Gotta let it cook a tiny bit on one side before you spiral the syrup so it holds the syrup well.
