There are different types of these collars. I taught my dog on the invisible fence with just the tone and vibration modes. He is one happy guy having the run of the entire 1/2 acre yard. But you can abuse an animal with these if you do not train properly. I would never subject my buddy to any kind of intentional pain.

That is funny but a good test to see if it works. Lol. I have a standard electric cattle fence and been shocked by it several times by accident. My dogs learned quick to not touch it with their tails when they went under they usually go the long way around to avoid it coming into my other fields.lol.

I've have a pet safe collar for 40 to 60 lb. collar it produces a static shock. Take it from me, the middle setting is more than adequate. Any higher settings are just ridiculous. Trust this. it is just plain cruel. If you use it consistently you will love the results. by far the best approach to training.

I understand where you are coming from, but Better than being tied down with a 10ft chain or in a 8ft dog pen, or getting killed by cars like 3 of our dogs did in less than 10 years.

its stupid actually, once they cross and they get shocked they won't know to go back, it will actually tell them to keep going. If it shocks more than once, all your doing is abusing your dog. It's really ineffective man.

That’s why you have them on a leash when the heat the beep tell them to get back and pull the lease back to the safe part of the yard I tryed everything crime fence to chain but they still get passed

If the dog doesn’t feel sum type of pain it will still do what it want I can honestly say I have three pit bulls and I used shock collars for all of them they felt the sting if they did something wrong or left the yard and now it’s a year later and I don’t even need to put it on them because they listen that’s what wrong with ppl they treat the dogs like humans dogs are not HUMANS my dogs are playful loving pets I see a lot of peoples dogs who don’t use physically punishments with there dogs and I noticed that the dog walks over them most the time so if ur one of them owners who feels the dogs don’t deserve to be punished when they do wrong or don’t listen shame on u 😂
