Testing Out The Dash Clear View Toaster | Ever-Curious Geek

It's new toaster day! I'm the kind of person who does WAY too much research when buying a new product like a toaster, but hey, my toast is very important to me. After checking out reviews and recommendations from the folks at America's Test Kitchen, I am replacing my old 4 slot toaster with the new Clear View Toaster from Dash. It is a single wide slot toaster with 4 tubular elements instead of the wire grid elements most toasters use. Check out the video for a toast test and a tour of its features.

★Just a side note★: -Even though you can't really see it in the video; there is a glass shield which is removable. Just flip the toaster upside down, and you'll see the shield's handle. Squeeze it and pull it down. The glass shield will come right out... The glass shield sits between the heating element, and the viewing window. That way the viewing window stays perfectly clean; and never gets stained from any potential smoke that could arise from accidentally burnt/charred food. Or from heat residue, (Which would be inevitable after long-term usage.) GREAT EXTRA FEATURE!

I've had one for a couple of years, love it! It toasts evenly and you have good control over the color of your toast. The pop-up spring is aggressive, so stand by with your catcher's mitt. I give it a 10.

Two slices of regular sandwich bread fit fine, though some of the wider loaf slices present a challenge. It will toast buns (I toast both sides) or a single slice of artisan-style bread. It works as well as or better than any conventional two-slice toaster I've used.
