There are some neighborhoods in the Twin Cities area that I regularly go to (and live in) that claim great 5G coverage by T-Mobile but where zero 5G internet is available. It's trash. 4G LTE was better because of its reliability.

11:26. Maybe there is no right or wrong way for operators to roll out, but from a consumers perspective, there is a smart way. They must definitely rollout 5G on the lower frequency and cover the "whole country", then fill in the gaps, as demand grows, with other frequencies. We did (still do that) with GSM and WCDMA (you find GSM and WCDMA overlay in civilised countries) 😉 where the lower 400/700/800/900 frequency is rolled out as an overlay network... and the others 1800, 2100, 2600 etc are in pockets where more bandwidth "density" is needed.

I just ran an internet speed test on a 1+ McLaren 5G phone at a T-Mobile store. The test resulted in a "blazing" 10.3Mbps download and 8.83Mbps upload speed. I conducted a speed test on the 4G Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ sitting right beside it and got a 63.7Mbs download and 19.8Mbs upload. The salesperson then tried to sell me the "5G" phone. The bottom line is that this "5G" network can give wildly different results depending on your location...
