Testing SOTABEAMS 2m Bandpass Filter with 7KW Transmitter!

I had the chance to field test a 2m bandpass filter from SOTABEAMS today whilst walking the dog at the back of my house. The location is the notoriously RF swamped Olivers Mount in Scarborough with a 7KW broadcast and TV transmitter. Last time I tried to work here I didn't get a single QSO or hear even the local repeater. Today I worked G4VRT 71 miles away perfectly. This little filter is awesome!

Thanks. It was the difference between QSO and no QSO which for SOTA/HEMA is a big deal, at least if you travel a fair way to activate and find yourself swamped.

Hi Paul, I did manage to activate today, was still a bit of a struggle at times but I made 5 QSO so got the activation finally!

@@scotforshaw I would have had a chat but had difficulty receiving, it was going from 59 to silence, not sure if that was my end or not.
