*Hello Lovely People* Can I just interject something to the REST of you that are actually looking for high quality sound at home? DO NOT BUY THESE CHIP AMPS! This one has the MAX CLEAN output of ~10 watts below 1% distortion. Heck, its not even that efficient either. And you really need 24 Volts in order to get that clean output power. To top that off, that's at 4 ohms. Most home speakers are 6-8 ohms. So maybe a clean 8 watts of CLEAN power from 40- 16khz at 8 Ohms My advice to all of you? Get a CAR AUDIO amplifier. Almost ALL of them can make a *clean 25 Watts* of power at 12 volts DC. Yes, there are very good chip amps out there like the FOSI audio, and a few others for a great price, but these boards or kits are almost always some kind of factory reject or straight out snake oil copies. I see a LOT of you are thinking that you can use these for any high quality audio. STOP IT! My lord dudes, don't get caught up in the suck! Look up any old American or European or Japanese designs and even just to salvage the parts from other equipment (Like Old PC power supplies, and the like) you can legit make an Amplifier out of raw parts that will sail past almost any of these Chip amplifier kits. Hell, you can make your own TUBE Amplifiers that will often do just as as good as these chip amps. That's exactly how good these are if you really want to talk about distortion and harmonics, and these chip amps have tons of issues where it takes a wizard to make them even sound good. The reference designs that all these companies make just don't pan out. Mr. Benny has been testing these cheap kits for years, and always after putting them on the O scope, they sound trash. But you do you. I just can't understand why ANYONE would think any of these kits are anything coming close to high quality. And for cost reasons alone? There are MILLIONS of A/V recivers that have been cycled out since they don't have HDMI ports. But almost all of these have Optical inputs. GET ONE OF THOSE and as a BONUS? Most have 5 actual channels of amplification.
