I'm in a 2019 LT with the A26 and a 12 speed automated. The engine brake needs to be utilized during all skip shifts not just the top gears. The truck tries to skip shift in corners and falls on it's face. Spread axles require more power in corners. It's a huge improvement over the automated 10 speed. It just needs a few more adjustments. This is the first truck I've ever driven that the turbo isn't audible under load. Weird feeling. Now we need a filter to keep diesel particulates between the egr cooler and intake. I'd be nice to no have soot running through the engine.

Yep the engine is 600 pounds lighter they don't tell you they added 1000 pounds to the truck

Hi Darren. We've actually dropped 850-950 lbs on our LT Series* (13L, 15L) compared to a 2014 model year ProStar build. Here's where we reduced the weight: Chassis Skirts 40K IROS Aftertreatment System Fuel Tank System Sleeper Crossmembers Battery Box Systems Cooling System Base Engine Pedestal Mirrors Aero Bumper Cab Suspension *Represents a LT625 6x4 Vehicle 73” Sleeper, Downsped Drivetrain with Full Aero.

International Trucks Well you've mentioned a bunch of things that I don't have on my 14 Prostar +. I'm actually impressed someone replied to me. I've been a really loyal customer this is my sixth International. I'd love to chat sometime with you about your trucks. My biggest problem is I always bought 9200 trucks because of their lightweight and high stepping stance. Your not making a sleeper truck that takes the place of that truck.

Hi Darren. Thank you for your comments and most of all for your loyalty. I'm looking into this matter for you. Could you message me with your email address using the button found on our "About" tab?

A26 is gonna be as successful as the MAXXFORCE right? 😂

It looks like the fan clutch that keeps on breaking is not tested in any of these dyno cells. Maybe that explains why the fan clutch fails all the time and leaves us stranded on the road. I would settle for a louder engine that doesn't break down all the time over a quieter engine when it comes to stress for the driver. There is no way this engine has been tested. The unfortunate customers are the ones that really test this engine. We are not customers; we are beta testers.

Ryan Scott the engine wasn't even available yet when you made that comment

Obviously, you have no experience with the MxF13L engine. The clutched fan is the same as the piece of junk that is on the current production engines.

The MxF13L engine has been renamed the A26, basically a MAN D26 engine with different accessories bolted on it. The Navistar factories in South America are making the MAN D08. Now that VW is buying more and more of Navistar stock, is Navistar going to dump the ISB in favor of the D08 (renamed the A08)? The MxF9L and 10L is really the 570. Nobody is buying those engines. Is the 570 going away in favor of the D20 (renamed the A20)? The R&D facility and manufacturing plants will simply adapt and assemble MAN engines under license. US designed and manufactured engines will simply be gone.

Nobody believes that you tested this engine for durability. Nobody believes that there is a 5% fuel economy increase. How many days will the EGR cooler last on this engine? The joke of the industry is replacing the EGR cooler core super fast, only to have the EGR cooler leak and leak coolant over and over again. The on-vehicle EGR puller and press is a total joke. Fire the idiot that came up with that horrible tool design. How many of the N13 engines were sold, compared to the Cummins ISX15 engines in your own trucks? How many times will the pilot bearing fail, because that bearing has never been in the proper location for over a decade? The idiot service engineer that came out to visit me told me that the throw out bearing is only temporary. It should be thrown out. The moron had no idea what a pilot bearing was, and he was the youthful expert in CSO. The service engineer had never driven a truck before, and it showed. He confused the pilot bearing with a throw out bearing, and he didn't even know what a throw out bearing was. I have been told that the throw out (pilot) bearing has never failed on dyno testing. Duh. The pilot bearing isn't tested on the dyno. It was pointless to talk to the fools in CSO that cannot and had not driven a truck before. How many fools will Navistar hire? I didn't see a DPF system on those engines. I wonder if the dosing system will ever get fixed, or if we will have to deal with engines blowing blue smoke out the stack each time a failed regen attempt is made.
