I was recently gifted this exact rifle, it had been purchased, put in the safe and never fired. The owner was a friend of mine who passed away and left it to his son, who in turn gifted it to me. I put a scope on it, zeroed it in and stuck it back in the safe. It’s absolutely immaculate, and I plan on leaving it for my grandchild who is now on the way.

When you talked about the FBI cutting down the tree branch that was in the way of the window where the shot supposedly took place, that reminded me of how the SWAT unit that entered Steve Paddocks room (during the Las Vegas Massacre) found a cold and long dead Paddock and broke the window out with a hammer. Honestly that entire incident baffles me, but as to the windows, there was one broken by the shooter during the massacre, and ive seen a video where theres 2 kids saying they heard 2 gunshots and heard glass falling, so it could be a hammer, or it was the gunman trying his luck at shooting fuel tanks in the nearby airport before shooting himself.

My good friend (also an LE employee) has a Remington pump in .308. My Grandfather had the Remington 7600 semi auto in 30-06. We called it the one shot wonder. Gas system was plugged as usual. Here in PA we have a lot of guys who run 760s for hunting season. We can’t use semi autos for hunting per state law, so the pump action allows for fast follow ups. It’s honestly a great rifle and it handles quite nicely. My buddy has a rare example in .270, but they’re most common in 30-06

@@luislongoria6621 I don't think you understand what you heard. 270 Winchester does use .277 bullets like the 6.8 sig and the 6.8 spc, but the .270 is a necked down 30-06, not a necked down .308. Moving to .338 as a pdw cartridge is not the best idea because the sectional density of the bullets isn't great on armor, and velocities aren't that high.

The Remington 760 is a great rifle. In fact, the 740 and its semi auto derivatives are converted to the 760 Pump action an awful lot due to the nature of issues with the 740 family. Company in Minnesota sells them and concerts them for like less than $400.

Those are actually pretty sweet rifles. I have an OG Remington 7600. It was my first rifle. Its also a 30-06 pump action. Its got beautiful engravings on the side. I see them being sold anywhere from 15-2000$. Keep up the great work Congressman Kalash.
