Many years ago ( when they first came out ) I won a few local tournaments with the banjo . Even got a few steelhead off a pier in Lake Michigan . Love the rigging , now use that on the caffeine shad it comes alive

I got a bunch of the original style ones and I mostly fish them with a Texas rig and have real good luck.

I have the original box set banjo minnows I can tell you right now the old ones work better like everything in life the old stuff is always better I've been using them top water and getting massive explosions

I have caught many, many great fish on this lure! It seems to me to work when nothing else does, especially for largemouth and northerns!👍👍 4+6 lb line😮 use a kindof extreme fall and twitch routine!

Yes they work, but if the fish are hitting those, they’ll also hit a fluke or caffeine shad which cost a lot less and are easier to rig up.

Hello form vn your video been 1 of the reason i try lure ffishing here even though we only have sneak head and cat fish at best very weak spots fish comper to bass but i have fish up my frist fish today and i just sit down and see your new upload so thank you for helping and guidance

I don't know why the Banjo Minnow would be any worse than any of the other 5000 lures out there. Most lures are made to catch fishermen, not fish. I once had a friend who only had an old rod with a Zebco reel and an old metal tackle box with about 12 different lures in it. He just "went fishing", not for anything specific. He caught all kinds of different fish with that simple old rig. He was the one who got me addicted to fishing.

back in 1996 it was the only genetic lure that was created and the new version is based on that, @2:22 second that was the 07 minnow that was a complete failure the original was the best out of them all

I got so sick of seeing commercials for the banjo minnow on late night tv. If I actually would have paid for cable it would have sucked. My friend had a key to the cable boxes around town and would charge $40 to hook your cable up. Unfortunately I lived in an apartment building and everytime someone new would move in they would unplug the cable so it ended up costing less to actually pay the cable company I have not had cable since about 2001 since I moved out of state. Too much stuff to do around here.
