Oh my gosh! Heely-ing as an adult is something I actually have experience with, and you’re right!! I choreographed and was in a production of The Little Mermaid Musical - so I had to learn how to use them/dance in them (all under the sea characters/creatures used Heelys) AND be able to teach others. As adults our center of gravity is higher off the ground so it can be harder to stabilize, also we’re much more aware of how dangerous it can be. And since we know we can get hurt we’re less likely to just go for it and trust the momentum. Kids are freaking fearless. I saw elementary school kids put them on for the first time and zoom around the room while it took me a week and a couple of falls to feel totally confident in them. And it’s totally a core workout. You’ve gotta have that engaged core, neutral pelvis, and straight spine to be able to manipulate it all. (And as adults we get lazy and that’s harder to do!😂) Heely-ing and dancing in Heelys is on my freaking resume now because it’s TOTALLY a skill!
