I have the exact same washer on my boat. Still going strong after 4 years of living aboard. I even use salt water sometimes if fresh is a little low. Leaving the lids up for it to dry before putting it away is a good idea too. Two tips: I don't put much soap in as it never seems to rinse out. And I spin the washing water out before rinsing to stop the dirty wash water contaminating the clean rinse water. Oh, and the wash water always turns black :)

Commented on your last video letting your followers know about where things are. I noticed youtube had this waiting for me to see and It was meant to be because I have thought the same exact thing about one of those washer for when I finally get to my bahama adventure sometime in the near future. Wonder if it made the whole season and did what you hoped it would? Another thought I have and actually bought one is a small dorm freezer that I hope to make Ice blocks and have Ice cubes when cruising. I want to rotate Ice blocks for keeping food cold instead of having an actually fridge.

Thank you for another fun video. Just a suggestion: I would leave the lids up of the washer so any water/condensation dries out. This way no mold will grow inside. I do this with my washer after I use it (keep the lid up to dry out).

I would suggest using the spin between wash and rinse. Getting more water out will improve your rinse.

Saw one of these basic units previously , the spin cycle is the most important part needed! Ideally like all appliances it needs a permanent location so it can be used when every you like. Tricky on a boat of course! I actually say 40! Years ago a front loading washer with spinning cycle all plastic basic unit my boss at the boat company in South Africa I was working at get all excited about ….. I get it now!!!! 🤞🤞🤞for you continued success! Cheers Warren

We used a washer similar to this one for about a year when we first moved into our shop. My wife hated it but I thought it worked really well. Put it next to our bathroom sink so it could drain right into the sink. We still have it in storage just in case we need it. Great video review!

I've used one of these long term, there's one issue., easy to resolve. You'd be amazed how much fluff and hair comes out of a wash. Make sure the drain has an impeded flow off the boat, if it hangs around anywhere you get fluff settling, building up, and if it fully dries it's a pig to clean up. I'd be very, very interested in the amount of power it ues btw, both in terms of peak wattage and % battery a full load uses? I've always thought they;d be a great boat addition except not knowing if they'd suck up all the juice.

We have the exact washing machine that travels with our Airstream RV. So far it has lasted 3 yrs. It has worked great and you can’t beat the price. We have found that using fabric softener in the wash mode makes it even better.

Good job. Small light clothes don't need a long wash. Less detergent and less water is always a step in the right direction. Good for summer RV use and even small 'throw it in the car ' camping trips too. ❤

I have a very similar machine for my Las Vegas apartment. The best purchase ever. I have had this thing more than 5 years now, and it's the best purchase ever ( 5 years!). I eventually got a matching portable dryer, but in the desert, it's not necessary except for maybe a week in winter. The best thing is being able to wash whenever I want and not on laundry day.

Great video. Still making chicken mush. Sometimes adding extra broccoli and cheese. Saves money and a pot of "da mush" disappears instantly.

I saw something similar that was all manual power. Had a foot pedal you pumped to get it to agitate and another pedal for the spin cycle. get a workout and clean clothes. Though I'd imagine that would get old fast if you had a lot of laundry to do.

I have something very similar in the way of a washing machine and that little unit works great!

We have used the Panda version of that washer in our RV for 4 years. It has been used in the desert sitting out on the ground also up in the mountains. We have abused this thing for years and it still works. They definitely are built to last.

OMG, the "Easy Bake Oven.' I loved the cookies they made. I think that washer is a keeper. What is your budget for the laundromat? I'm sure that if you get a year or two out of this you'll be ahead. This is the first time I have ever enjoyed laundry day. Thank you.

Once you do over $109 worth of laundry mat washings, you are saving money. Ah civilized! Great job team!
@Sailboatstory6 ай бұрын
We've easily done that. Usually costs us around $30 to wash and dry everything. Then there's the savings of time, energy, and frustration of hoofing heavy sacks of clothes across hot, humid islands. Then there's dinghy fuel... it's a big win.

Not to mention the value of not going to the laundromat. In college I would drive 45 minutes to my parent’s house to wash clothes and eat a meal.

Probably a good video to watch but unfortunately our family couldn’t watch as your click bait thumbnail forbade it Sailing blogs think that removing as much clothing as possible is good for viewers but sorry you’ve lost our family. Maybe having the washing machine meant all the clothes were in the washer. Instead of covering you up and being more modest You guys have been going for a long time now so you should not have to reduce to the level of click bait of this type Happy sailing Nick
