The 100 AC has a MPPT charge controller like the Yeti X series. A PWM type is not able to reach up to 18 watts with a 20 watt panel.
@kk_reviews3 жыл бұрын
I agree. But for some reason, the Sherpa 100AC (PWM) had reached 18 watts on the display. It could easily be efficientcy or the bright day we had. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe and have a wonderful day...take is easy!
@elyeno3 жыл бұрын
@@kk_reviews It reaches 18 watts while the AC 100 comes with a MPPT, not with a PWM type. I have a Yeti 400 (old AGM version), 500x, 200x , 150 (old AGM) and three AC100 AC (European version, 230 V AC, i'm in Germany). The 500x and the 100AC shows me the same wattage with a 50 watt panel (both MPPT), the old 400 some watts less (PWM).
@kk_reviews3 жыл бұрын
@@elyeno I see. Maybe your 100AC has an mppt because my specifications shows that it has pwm. Good to know!
@elyeno3 жыл бұрын
The manuals of Goal Zero products are sometimes wrong. Look into the manual of the Yeti 200x and compare the technical data in different languages. Sometimes you have PWM and pure sinus, sometimes MPPT and modified sinus or other combinations. It‘s crazy. All 200x arround this planet are the same except the AC (120 or 230 volts and socket). All 200x comes with MPPT and modified sinus. At the 100AC the same. All comes with MPPT.

Could I just simply put this on my car and have a powerbank connected to have it work while driving?

Do you know the solar panel works on the Yeti 150?
@kk_reviews3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Goal Zero's website states that it is compatible with all of their power stations! Good news! Thanks for watching! Have a wonderful day and please sub if you can!

I have both the panel, the yeti 150 & a 7 watt goal zero panel daisy chained to the 20 watt. Works fine

How long did it take you to charge your phone?
@kk_reviews2 жыл бұрын
If were pulling 18 watts, we can charge a phone in a little over 30 minutes, as a phone's battery is about 11 watt hours and it can take in about 18 watts of input. Thanks for watching! Please subscribe and have a good day!

🤔 Make sure the solar panel is angled towards the sun. Thanks for watching, please subscribe.

@@kk_reviews Thanks. It's true the angle is important. The 3 panel design makes it hard to stand on an angle. It's looks like the newer one has a kickstand?
