Someone may have mentioned it already. On a test like that for that kind of mat you should be dropping it between your indicator mat and the actual mat that you're testing. And that way you'll see how much of the gold you've Testament actually gathers because most of it's going to be in your your front mat like normal. As far as being a little heavy. He knows your KZbinr. And it could just be cuz most people will lose the really small gold in a pan. Good show brother keep it up. It has vermonters we know that we deal with an obsessive amount of black sand.

Another great video, gentlemen! I too have a micro cell dream mat. I have noticed that it does a better job at a lower pitch and flow. It is not really good for a river sluice but it is absolutely excellent as a cleanup mat when set up correctly. I have completely switched over to dream mat products because of their capture rate and their ability to reduce the amount of cons. Can't wait for your next video!

Great to see the numbers going up and to be in the ten racers for today's prize. Keep up the great videos. The micromat works great for the fine gold with lower flow, tricky to get the bubbles out of the cells sometimes though.

Great video guys. I think you need to lower the flow rate down to about 600gph for that length of a sluice. I use Backyard Prospecting's Toolbox Sluice and it uses a Dream Mat Micro Pocket Sluice with the same size of cells that you tested. It's set at 7° and I use an 300gph aquarium pump. I generally catch all the gold in the top 1/3 of it. I took all the tailings and sent them to @All4gold, so he could tune his highbanker he built. He managed to recover 0.094 grams of gold from it. While I was able to recover 68.155 grams through panning and the tailings from my panning. My recovery rate is at 99.99%

Really gotta get rid of the air bubbles. Especially in the vortex holes. Use a plastic brush and really scrub till all bubbles are gone or the mat is useless

I took my micro mat out on a brook minus any sluice for it to sit in. I was not catching any fine gold with my panning. I connected a couple small flex sluices to the micro mat.most of the gold was in the micro mat. Would have gone home empty handed if I had just depended on panning.
