field of view looks a bit limited, not wide enough. usually you can see the guy you're following, he gets cut out a lot. also, i like it when you can see the front of your bike.......is that the new Rage in white??? sick!!!!

I think it's also a symptom of placing the go pro under the visor vs a chin mount I have a go pro hero 9 and it's similar imo

need to run these chest mount and in the widest FOV which usually doesn't run in the max stabilization. which is fine. leave some of the trail in anyway. but yeah just seems like bad settings unless gopro really ruined this camera that much.

At first my mind was like, "my Insta360 Go 3S is way smaller but has way more FOV." Then I remembered my Go 3S costs more than twice as much as this camera. This is a pretty damn good camera with excellent stabilization for just $200. Put it on a chin mount and you'll probably get better footage. You could buy this brand new, or a used Hero 9 Black. Up to you.

Sick riding! I was debating this as an upgrade from my hero 12 black, as the weight has always bothered me, but after seeing the footage I'll definitely splurge for the hero 13 black. Especially with the ability to use the max mod lens and nd filters. Pretty good for a couple hundred bucks though!

FOV looks much smaller compared to Max lens. Clarity looks good. For someone who’s looking for their first action camera $200 looks like a good deal. I have a few so likely won’t buy this camera

I like my 12 & 13 but this Looks terrible... is it the camera or editing that is causing it to look rubbish?

I thought about buying the new HERO for the exact purpose you were using it here but unfortunately, the FOV is terrible and even in 4K the footage looks grainy. Somehow my Hero 4 Session looks better even when youtube ruins the quality. I approve of cutting cost and unnecessary features but the quality, even for 200$ (or about 230€ in the EU) is awful.

The image quality of the normal one is already not so good....so this one....and the fov from the past 😅 But seriously, this one or the expensive one, I don't understand why people still use gopros instead of osmo action who is far more better. Just maybe for the gro pro past "prestige" ?

I've owned a GoPro since they came out, their software is garbage. They want you to pay for any extra editing and it's glitchy on top of it. They come out with a new camera each year with no significant changes. Insta360 is 10x better.

No it's automatic when you export it. Super easy, no settings.

Ah yes, a GoPro 5 in 2024. If it wasn't for the hype and sponsored athletes, GoPro would legit go out of business with these absurd Apple-like marketing schemes.
