Testing The New Savage Sandeel V2

What was supposed to be a day trying out a new mark ended up being a test of the new Savage Sandeel mark 2 lure instead. Very first cast on the new mark and a Seal popped it's head up, stuck it out for 15 minutes but with him hunting in the area the chances of catching anything were slim to none.
Plan B was to head to one of the regular, reliable marks and try the new Savage Sandeel lures. To be honest although they caught I didn't find them any better or worse than the original version... just more expensive!
Then went looking for some Mackerel but with the weather taking a massive turn for the worse it was time to call it day and head for an early bath.

How did you get on? We've had terrible weather so the summer has been poor but every time I've used these lures they've caught fish.

They're not as good as the originals, not the lemon ones anyway. The more subdued colours just aren't as effective. I still catch on them but don't use them to test new marks.
