I think the one thing that he missed, that he probably thought about but didn’t outright say, was that the boots have higher situational value. The empowered back may not even be that high value some games, but in other games, when it lets you catch a wave or avoid an enemy, it’s value skyrockets. What I’m trying to say is that the empowered back basically allows you to play a certain way, and those opportunities give the boots more and less value than other boots depending on the game.

empowered recall is massive, during laning phase it makes a big impact on wave control and during mid/late, much faster to reset and get ready for an objective or rotate to catch waves.

@@justinhowe3878 yeah champs with little sustain and like to recall a lot I think will like it a LOT, its even better if your a high tempo player, you can now stay on map aa lot longer, let's say you usually recall with boots 3-4 times before landing ends, that's legit 16 secs, and like 10-14 times for whole game, that's like 40-60ish secs, that's legit kinda bonkers you can be up a min up in tempo

sucks that they don't start counting at game start. pretty much useless for power farmers/cull start that want to really abuse the empowered recall and movespeed to cheese tempo/lane states. it is pretty much exclusively for the movespeed, so maybe at best you buy it on support and jungler. was hoping to be able to use it on weaker scaling toplaners that can benefit from more frequent resets but 14min is way too late for it to better than just regular tier2 boots (and it's 100g more expensive)

Well yeah bro it’s not supposed to be an item for laners to buy, it’s a replacement for mobi boots. The issue with mobi boots is that they used to be broken at 900 gold, they nerfed them to 1k gold and nobody bought them anymore. These boots should be way more balanced

Also much less consistent to dodge because you don’t really know where he’s aiming unless you stop to think about it which slows down your gameplay, and in a lot of cases angles can heavily increase the range
