Ayy nice to see it helped in the end! This was a fun experiment for me as well to see if I can even make setups really to begin with 😁 Just a correction to start out with this is no esports setup in the literal fashion, I developed this setup myself completely for you from advice I saw on Esport drivers' setup videos. Notes: 1. The big one is that you would've needed to adjust tire pressures because you were 0.8psi too high which is a massive amount, so that is mainly why the setup felt slippery and unstable. The original name was 24c as I made it at 24c track temps, yours's were higher for sure, either you'd need to change the hot lap mode settings or adjust tire pressures. 2. You were correct in thinking there's less aero, I almost completely removed the rear wing as Monza is very much a speed track the wing takes away a lot on the straights, however I lowered the rear ride height a lot so that it gives weight and stability back(and that also helps with top speed) 3. Basically the "meta" setups recommend All soft suspension basically how it is on that, more aggressive toe and camber settings(that's why you feel the car is more aggressive to turn) max caster angle for better feedback, Brake pads 1 for short races under 1.5 hours, and then either max Rear ride height with max Rear Wing OR minimum rear ride with minimum wing or about that. This template is from Jardier for the most part but, looking at other videos they all say the same. It's a bit weird to look at but works well with the game's physics. After that basically it's just adjusting tire temps and brake ducts for the conditions of the track/race but the full pros of course do more setup tweaks as well to personalize. 4. TC2 does nothing, everyone just says to turn it off 😂 TC1 supposed to be WHEN to cut in and TC2 is the how much, but in this game only TC1 is needed. For reference with the standard aggressive preset I've done a 1:49.3-ish, and with the setup I sent you I've done 1.48.6 if I remember correct. My original setup I made was a bit more aggressive even, but I dialed it back because that would've just spun you off the track probably 😅. Again I just want to emphasize tire pressures are almost everything in this game make sure you pay attention, it should be ideally around 26.8 psi at operating temps(not cold) If the track is hotter than what the setup is made for then it will give you higher pressures, and you'll need to lower it, colder track vice versa you'll need higher pressures. It will help with both lap times and consistency. To wrap up I think your conclusion was spot on as well, in the end just practicing and getting faster and better lap times consistently will be the most help for a "beginner" driver. These kind of setups are made to be driven very fast, some of the full esports setups even I can't drive fast enough. I could see here as well you were just not driving it "hard" enough and the car just didn't really work, the tire temps were cold even with too much pressure, and because you're corner speeds weren't high enough, the reduced rear wing didn't give you enough downforce to stabilize the car. Probably you'd need to find at least another 0.7-0.8 seconds consistently before it would work for you. But of course feel free to play around, you might find something from this starting point that works best for you. Just use tc1 at 5 or 6 with the 296, 0 tc2. Often the most used by the esport pros in this game, should help you to get on the throttle earlier.

your tires are cookin man, not sure just how much difference it would make but some for sure. TC2 is how much the TC intervenes when it does activate. So a high value would mean when TC1 is engaged its REALLY hampering you whereas TC2 low value when TC1 is engaged it doesnt slow you down as much. Also when comparing set ups first step is most definitely consistency with same fuel load and proper tire pressures. Corner exit with the paid set ups that have lower TC you gotta short shift into a higher gear to avoid slipping the tires activating the TC and robbing you of speed. Tires need to be at 26.8 psi after warm-up. Normally, it takes 3 laps to warm them up. If you want to get fast, you need to make fast friends. They will help you put it all together, brake zones, set-ups, and racing lines. It's going to take all of it to be fast. I run 1:47s on monza, but others can run 1:46s and 👽 run 1:45s. I don't charge for pro tips, lol 😁

Hey ma man, I have the feeling that your FOV is set way too high unless you have 40“+. which on an certain point might cost you time, because your brain misses some sense of correct speed and track geometry. Love ya.

I'll check it out, a long time ago I've set it up for my current and I don't think I have changed anything, so hopefully it's been correct this whole time

I just started using coach daves set ups. I've already gained seconds from using the standard aggressive su. But I'm not very good tho. So I think the set up helps. But having better hardware would help me too. Great job.
