As a trinny london avid user here are some tips... the BFF cream is actually not a straight sunscreen, but rather a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. The De-Stress is also a tinted moistruizer, but with different ingredients and with a bit more coverage. Since they serve the same purpose, just with different coverage levels and purposes, they aren't really meant to be used together. Which is why you got some pilling. If you want more coverage than the original BFF or De-stress has to offer, then use the just a touch foundation to add more coverage in the areas you want. Using this method your fingers should work well enough.

I watched Trinny apply her makeup, she is using minimal number of products, and the whole application takes about a minute. I think her makeup is best for a quick natural look, when you don't need much coverage, but want to look fresh and rosy, using only one product

I have dry skin and have been using Trinny London products for about 6 years now and love them. I use the Bff and eyeshadows daily and love the no makeup look they give my 76 yr. old skin. Also, they last..1 pot of eyeshadow lasts me a full year and 2 Bff’s last me a year. They are high quality products in a cream base …great for aging skin. I am a big fan❤️

I really like Nikol Johnson's products on my 61 year old complexion. I have 2 eyeshadow palettes, mascara, eyeliner, Just Peachy corrector and BB cream. I love them all on me! I do need to get the Fiercely Smooth primer, though, for the BB Cream.

Probably the first “clean” makeup on the market. It’s usually sold in boutiques/ aesthetic spas and not in big chains to my knowledge.

So happy to see you try the Nikki La Rose brushes. I've been loving them. Nikki often uses your brushes in her videos and has said that one of the challenges in designing her set is that BK already has so many great brushes and she had to make hers complementary to and useful within the existing lines. Of course I had gotten into using your shorter handled travel set so when I switch between the other BK brushes I keep smacking the mirror. I love Trinny blushes! They stay put all day every day, in cold, in heat, the only blush with such a stability. Also one pot lasts very long and never changes in quality, which is a big plus.

I love that you do the wear test! It makes such a difference. Makeup almost always looks good when first applied, but showing us how it looks in different light and after wear is so helpful. My makeup never wears as long as yours does. After about 4 hours mine has faded and/or settled substantially and I generally have to touch-up. I think the product that is the most intriguing would be the eye pots, but you didn't mention whether they had fragrance, I'll have to check.

I love me some Trinny London! I love using the BFF sunscreen serum with my fingers, followed up by the just a touch concealer to cover up any spots. It works beautifully when applied with fingers as well. The combination of those two products is perfection!

Nice to see you testing Trinny London. I agree with you re the Miracle Blur and under eye concealer. Not great imo. However I do use the BFF tinted serum and love it, plus the cream eyeshadows eye to eye, and I use an eyelid primer too. Her skincare is very good.

Truthfully these creamy products make everyone just look greasy. Which IMO highlights all our imperfections. The Jones road and this look the same. Barely any color payout, high priced , and you have to use other products to help support them. Mixing cream eyeshadows and blushes into our regular routine seems to look better. Good review !

I have both foundations. TL is just ok, but WTF Jones Road is just awful. It is a hot, expensive, greasy looking mess, and I have very dry skin. I mentioned this on their page, but they never acknowledged my comment. Fantastic video, Angie x

I agree. I have tried all these products and none of them worked for me, but I am 41 with oily skin and some pitted acne scars, so dewy products are a no-no as they just highlight that.

I think you'd have suited the BFF All day. I have normal to dry, aged, sometimes sensitive skin. I have the original, rebalance and de-stress. The original is magic as can't see it but skin looks better. This was paired with the pot for spot concealing. I can always tell when I've used De-stress as my skin improves so much it looks better after several hours. The Rebalance isn't necessarily for me and looks fine but no more than other foundations. I'm waiting for the All Day to arrive. Saying that, it's a bit pricey so often will mix de-stress with another foundation to give it some oommpphh. Have many of the eye, lip and cheek products that do last a long time, so cost effective. Funnily enough it's the more seemingly mundane colours that I reach for the most. I can't remember the last time I didn't use at least one TL item doing my makeup. Each to their own. I do wear many many other brands but have cut back on buying as much as I used to.

I’ve been using Trinny for about a year and I love it because I go for a minimal makeup look. On my combo skin I just press a little bit of the miracle blur into my enlarged pores, I found rubbing makes it look terrible. I just use my finger to dab & blend the just a touch concealer on my red areas. Love your videos, thanks for all of the testing you do!!

Thank you, Angie. Your videos are so detailed and helpful. I use the Trinny eye shadow in shade ‘Hope’ pretty much every day as a good neutral and get compliments. If going out, I just add a bit of an Hourglass shimmer on centre of mobile lid. I have steered away from most of her other products as some contain parabens which are a big “No” for me (implicated in breast cancer and actually found in breast cancer cells). Same applies to Charlotte Tilbury too. I agree with another lady who requested a Jane Iredale video. Clean beauty. Thank you.

i am a huge fan of Trinny London make up, have been for 2 or so years, primarily because its faff free application, minimal effort but gives a really good plumping hydrating, "lit from within" look to my otherwise dry sensitive skin. As a 66 year old I have found that many of my previous "go to" products no longer suit me and just sit in the creases and enhance the wrinkles. That is what I love about Trinny, it suits my skin, my age and is so very easy to use. Trinny suggests the BFF tinted serum is applied like a moisturiser, took me over 1 year before I fgot it right and just like you Angie it pilled and collected but finally did what she told me to do and "hey presto" it is my favourite tinted serum (better than a foundation) 🥰

Hey Angie! That's some shiny-glowy makeup! Looks good on you, but I don't know how it would wear on me. I can get similar complexion color results with Well People products bought locally. And Elf's No Budge pot eyeshadows are fabulous without primer underneath. I guess I'll just be happier when makeup styles trend away from the glowy look, I've always preferred a more matte or satin look. And a simple eye as you have done here. I must say that i am surprised that you didn't try the Trinny London skin care products which IMO are the stars of her line. I love the makeup remover, face cleansers, plump up and moisterizer. Her blushes are great too. I always use eyeshadow primer with any shadows and these too. Like another follower, i buy my products in the sales. The prices are comparable to most that Sephora carry.

The lip products and blushes are the best products from Trinny London IMO. My girlfriend who doesn’t really wear any make up does love this year coverage of the face products and the concealer but I agree more with you/Angie on those.

The black and white brush is for creme and powder . You can just apply foundation and flip it over to apply blush , bronzer ect.❤Now with your brushes I have the perfect set ❤❤

I think hands down cream makeup is awesome for mature skin. There are quite a few brands; I’ve found one I’ll use forever. There’s a learning curve to applying it and finding what skin care and spf works underneath. Nikki’s brushes are amazing. The N17’s dark side is designed for powders but she does say do what works! Tower 28 Make Waves has been my go to top lash, Mac Gigablack for the bottom. Never flakes!

I use Trinny makeup but have not used BFF SPF 30 together with DeStress. I use the miracle blur lightly over makeup where I find too much glow. The pots last forever but I’m not crazy about putting my finger in b/c of contamination. Will use up before trying other brand. I do like Trinny London Skincare and would be interested in you reviewing these. Always appreciate your thorough and thoughtful reviews!

This is really interesting, thanks for the review! I have been using her skin care products which I mostly like. But I didn’t like the vitamin C because it also got balled up and gummy when I applied makeup on top of it. I find that a lot of the pots of makeup are really low levels of pigment so I prefer other products. I do love following Trinny on Instagram though, her social media is fantastic.

Lil and cheek are nice, contours, bronzers and blighters are good and the bff foundation serum and the concealer just a touch. I feel they’re a little too glowy for myself though. Thanks so much for this! I’ve been waiting for your take on Trinny since I started using her products several years ago. I am a fan of both you and Trinny! I would say I definitely have drier skin, and most of the products you used don’t make me look as shiny. The eye shadows helped me a lot. Because of my dry eye disease, any powder shadow the fell into my eyes would require a massive clean up and a day free of eye shadow. I believe you can use “Just a Touch” as an eyelid primer. During daytime I use BFF Cream, with a little “Just a Touch” on any spots that need concealing. If I were going out later, I would use the BFF Destress, without removing anything from earlier in the day, as I generally don’t wear heavier coverage during the day. I was surprised you didn’t try a darker shade eye shadow, because you can get a really nice smoky eye with these shadows - I imagine Chalice would have been a great addition to your Wisdom and Fortune. It is great to see you looking a little less “made up” as you did with this video, though, once you set with powder, you looked gorgeous! You should do a little video extra about the “Match To Me” since, unless you live in the UK or NYC, it’s necessary to order through the website, and it helps to find what colors they would recommend.

The Trinny London products are very hyped with fantastic advertising however I feel that the products are very over hyped and far too expensive. I am from the UK so see so many reviews of the products and they are all underwhelmed with the products and so many complain about the lack of longevity too.

I haven't even watched this yet, Angie, but I bought several Trinny Eye2Eye shadows and the Miracle Blur. Still waiting for the miracle blur. I did not like one color of eye2eye, but I could not return it, however, Trinny gave me a credit for the next time I shop that is the same value as the eye shadow. Like you, I've been interested in them for while. Also I like the Nikki La Rose brushes. They make me think of raccoons, you know, the color of some of the brushes (14 and 16 are my favorites). The dual sided brush is meant for the lighter side using liquid and cream foundation and the darker side is for powder. But I think we can all use our brushes however we want to! I think the makeup looks great on you, Angie.

Great review. I am a big trinny fan, followed for the fashion b4 the make up came along and of course I have now bought products. I do prefer dewy glow over matte and her products are great for that. I think her lip colours are fantastic very highly pigmented. I 💯 agree that the products are pricey but like others wait for a sale, black Nov was the best. I just sampled Destress and was v.impressed and will buy. When on sale 😂

I am more looking for organic beauty - and so far - most of the brands I used have not the right colours.. our lipstick is coming right off... and RMS looks great but again.. Hi Angie. The video is informative. I prefer the soft matte look better than the glow for myself as in a nice sheen without being dewy. Yes to hiding pores and texture. I really don't feel the need to purchase any TL products and cannot justify purchasing Nikki's brushes as your brushes are great.

Hi Angie! First, thank for all of your work, I learned so much from you ❤ As for the Trinny London, I grew to realy love her makeup, but with combination with other brands. Her bff cream that you’ve used in this video doesn’t hold rest of the stuff well (or itself for that matter), so it’ better to just use bff (white bottle) as primer. Blushes are really good, and eye2eye eyeshadows are good also as primer of you use lighter shades. Her lippies are great, although not so longwear, but mosturising. Her skinkare is very good, there are some things that are worth trying. Love you Angie!

Hi Angie, great video as always! I use TL products and love them. I believe there is a different sunscreen SpF50 you were meant to use together with either the distress serum or the BFF SPF30. I don’t think you are supposed to use the serum on top of the BFF SPF30 as both of them offer colour and coverage. Xx

The fragrance (as well as the cost) in Trinny London's products has always been a BIG deterrent for me. I have the Elf primer putty which comes in a pot about 4 times the size of Trinny's and it works quite well as a dupe. BTW, got your travel brush set for Christmas and I really love it!

I had the same experience when trying to put the destress on top of the BFF, it did not go well! - I had the same creasing problem with the eyeshadows so will try them with an eye primer next time, though I find so many eye primers really drying on my eyelids - I like the Trinny products, especially the BFF which really tones down the redness I have in my cheeks and gives a light coverage, great in the summer when I struggle to use my trusty old cream to powder foundation in humid weather

Angie this was very helpful. I too have bought many Trinny Products and have not been as excited as I hoped. Blush and lips are good and the eyeshadows. I do like the idea of MatchtoMe which helps find the most flattering colors for your skin and hair color. Have you tried any of the Beauty Pie products? If so what are your favourites?

I have tried this entire line. This is a nice product line for folks with no oil, no pores, and who don’t need coverage, who have no acne scarring, and who also don’t need their makeup to last long. Basically, for folks who don’t need makeup in the first place 😂. It’s a big pass for me as I am the opposite of what I described above. I did not repurchase anything after using and ended declutterring most of it.

I’ve tried Trinny in the past, didn’t get on with it too well and it’s so expensive. The Just a Touch is the original foundation / concealer designed to be applied just where you need it, hence the name. All the BFF stuff came later. Great if you’ve already got great skin (and deep pockets) not so much otherwise! Love the T pots though - have kept them to use for decanting foundation and skin care into for travel. The eyeshadow looked good on you and I liked the mascara but not enough to buy one, I have others that can flake just as well. 😊

I have many TL products and the least I appreciate is the just a touch foundation/concealer. It’s so dry and patchy (I have combination skin). I tried using it with a setting spray on the skin first but it does not get better.

I like the more natural look on you. I love most of her products for my dry mature skin, and I am addicted to the tinted sunscreen. People comment on my glow when I wear it and her make up. I like using fingers--natural and cleaner IMO. Everything is pricey though! Now try her skincare!

Hi, Love Trinny, but have not tried her products yet. I could tell you were a little skeptical, but I thought this make-up looked great on you --- more natural and less of a mask. I like a natural healthy look and even when your make-up is fabulous, and it always is, it often fails the bright sun test for me because I see the make-up too much. You are beautiful, and this allowed more of you to shine through.

I would love to see you try seint cream makeups! They're less than 20 per pan, they have so many shades to cover and brighten, they all go into a mirrored compact and I do my whole face with the blush brush lol

Good morning, Angie. You're the 1st person I've seen using Trinny London products. The sunscreen looks really nice. The Lady J blush is so pretty. I like the shadows on you. There is a slight difference in the shades. It's a pretty monochromatic look. The mascara is a definite winner. It gives great volume and length. Oh wow. I think it looks great.
