I actually really appreciate that you’re honest about the small details and differences between the “dupes” and the high end makeup. Most KZbinrs just do the same old “omg they’re exactly the same” routine. I’d rather just spend the money on the high end products than waste hundreds of dollars trying to “dupe” them and end up just buying them anyway.

The biggest problem I have with most Dupe videos is nobody comes back with check-ins for wear. The biggest difference (IMO) between high-end and drugstore makeup is how they wear thru the day. I can replicate most high-end looks, but they just do not last as long or look as good after a 10-hour workday.

I agree with this - about foundations specifically. That's why I never really "dupe" foundations because in my personal experience drugstore foundations just aren't the same. I've always said I think it's a product that you should invest in or even go more mid-tier brand with because it's a huge difference in quality from my experience. Plus drugstore foundations are practically hitting the mid-tier and luxury price points now!

Maybelline fit me foundation is the closest to high end for lasting power I've found. THE ORDINARY hyaluronic acid works great aa a primer, as sticky as the milk and skin care benefits!

On oily skin, nothing beats Double Wear. The Infallible foundation is wonderful and wears well depending on what skincare you have on underneath, but I get much better oil control with the DW. DW is also less finicky in terms of formula. I can wear most sunscreens underneath it w/o impacting longevity whereas sunscreen formula really matters underneath the Infallible.

I actually ended up swapping to L’Oreal after YEARS of Estee DW. I have dry skin, and I found the opposite to this video, that DL clings slightly more to dry areas. The coverage and staying power of both is amazing however, and they last because you don’t have to use as much!

The L'Oreal foundation has alcohol in it, so that's probably why it clings to dry patches. Although, you love their serum foundation and it has alcohol too. That alcohol is what makes their foundations perform so great, but why I don't wear them often since I have super dry skin

I think the Double Wear and Superstay Active Wear are dupes for each other, and I like the Elf Power Grip better than the Milk Hydro Grip. The Milk primer was harder to blend for me and it would ball up sometimes. I found applying it in a patting motion worked best for me. It is a very good primer, but the Elf one is easier to use and I like that it is more tacky. Great video!

I LOVE what the mac stack mascara did to your lashes, I was kind of awe in this video & the last, where you first tried it? Your lashes already seem pretty fab without, but once you start layering the MAC....your lashes got soooooo curly!!!! And like..thickened, but also wispy, and just SO curly!
